Overview

The Milwaukee OPEN-LOK 15 PC Oscillating Multi-Tool Blade Set, Model 49-10-9114, is built for users who want one accessory kit that can actually stay useful from rough cutting to finish prep. This is an oscillating multi-tool blade set designed for cutting, scraping, and sanding applications. If you run an oscillating multi-tool on remodeling work, punch-list jobs, flooring repairs, trim updates, drywall patching, or general service work, this set gives you a broad mix of blade types and accessory formats without forcing you into separate purchases.

What makes this set matter is the range of blade materials and job coverage. Milwaukee includes a NITRUS Carbide extreme metal blade for hard-use metal cutting, TITANIUM CHARGED bi-metal blades for multi-material work, a high carbon steel wood blade for clean wood and softer materials, a Japanese tooth hardwood blade for faster, cleaner cuts, a rigid scraper blade for material removal, and a triangle sanding pad with sanding sheets for surface prep. In plain terms, that means one case can move from cutting a drywall opening, to trimming PVC, to slicing through wood with nails, to scraping off old adhesive, to sanding a patched corner.

The standout performance claim here is durability where it counts. Milwaukee states the NITRUS Carbide blade delivers the fastest cutting and longest life in this lineup, with up to 2X more cuts than standard carbide teeth blades. The TITANIUM CHARGED bi-metal blades are built for wear resistance and are rated for up to 15X longer life than high carbon steel blades. That matters when you hit screws, nails, mixed materials, or demolition leftovers that would chew up cheaper blades in a hurry. For anyone who uses an oscillating tool as a problem-solver on the job, blade life is not a small detail. It is the difference between getting through the task and stopping to swap accessories every few minutes.

Milwaukee also paid attention to control and fitment. The reinforced Universal Fit OPEN-LOK anchor is designed for better strength and control, along with improved tool-to-blade power transfer. That helps when you are making plunge cuts, cutting flush to a surface, or working in awkward spots where chatter and vibration can throw off the line. Milwaukee also calls out quick blade changes across 100+ multi-tools, so this kit is aimed at users who may already own a non-Starlock oscillating multi-tool and want a set that drops right into their existing platform.

On the storage side, this is more than a loose assortment of blades in clamshell packaging. The included modular blade case is designed for use in PACKOUT and uses removable pegs for layout customization. That is a practical feature for contractors and service techs because oscillating accessories tend to disappear fast once they get tossed into a bag. Being able to keep wood, metal, scraper, and sanding accessories separated in one case saves time and helps you grab the right blade instead of burning up a metal blade on a wood cut or vice versa.

Compatibility is another strong point. The OPEN-LOK universal fit anchor fits all major brands of non-Starlock tools, and Milwaukee specifically notes the set is not compatible with Starlock tools. That is the kind of detail buyers need up front. If you are on a standard universal-fit oscillating multi-tool from Milwaukee or another major brand, this set is meant to work. If your tool uses Starlock, this is not the right kit.

Who should buy it? This set makes the most sense for remodelers, carpenters, maintenance crews, flooring installers, electricians, plumbers, and serious DIY users who rely on an oscillating tool as the fix-it tool for strange cuts and tight-space work. If you only need one replacement wood blade, this is more kit than you need. If you want a well-rounded oscillating multi-tool accessory set with metal cutting, wood cutting, scraping, sanding, universal fitment, and organized storage, this is the kind of kit that earns its keep fast.

Ready for Mixed Material Work

This kit is built for the way an oscillating tool gets used in the real world: one minute you are plunge cutting trim, the next you are trimming drywall, scraping residue, or sanding a patch flush.

• Includes blades for wood, hardwood, multi-material, and metal cutting
• Adds a rigid scraper and triangle sanding setup for prep and cleanup tasks
• Useful for demolition, repair work, finish adjustments, and punch-list jobs

Better Fit, Better Control

The anchor design is a big part of what separates a decent accessory from one that feels solid under load. Milwaukee built this set around a reinforced universal fit interface meant to improve strength, control, and power transfer.

• Fits all major brands of non-Starlock tools
• Designed for quick blade changes across 100+ multi-tools
• Reinforced anchor helps reduce movement and improve cutting control

Pro Tip

Keep the metal-cutting blades and wood-cutting blades separated in the modular case from day one. Using the carbide or bi-metal blade for fast trim work when a wood blade would do the job will wear your expensive blades sooner than it needs to.
