Overview

The Milwaukee 48-35-3700 Rotary Laser Tripod is a jobsite tripod made to support rotary lasers and compatible layout tools. This is a laser tripod designed for stable laser setup on construction and layout work. Model Number: 48-35-3700. If you need a mounting solution that is easy to carry, quick to set, and tough enough for daily site use, this one is built for that exact role.

Milwaukee built this tripod around the things that matter in the field: stable footing, fast height changes, and a frame that can take abuse. The smoother height adjustment helps you get set faster when grades, elevations, or reference lines need to move. Instead of wrestling with awkward leg movement, you can raise and lower the tripod more cleanly and keep the job moving.

The aluminum frame keeps weight down without giving up the durability you want from survey and layout gear. At 8.1 pounds, it is light enough to carry across a site, up into a building, or from truck to work area without feeling like dead weight. Milwaukee also includes a shoulder strap, which matters more than it sounds like when you are already carrying a laser, receiver, rod, and the rest of your setup gear.

For rough ground, the reinforced spiked metal feet are a real advantage. They help the tripod bite into dirt and uneven outdoor surfaces so the setup stays planted. That makes this a better fit for excavation, grading, utility layout, and exterior foundation work than a light indoor-only stand that is fine on concrete but sketchy on soil.

The mounting interface is a standard 5/8 inch x 11 thread, so the Milwaukee 48-35-3700 Rotary Laser Tripod is not locked into one tool. It is compatible with Milwaukee M18 rotary lasers, Milwaukee M12 lasers, and other lasers that use the same 5/8 inch - 11 thread. That gives you flexibility if your laser lineup changes or if you run multiple compatible layout tools on the same site.

Dimensionally, this tripod covers a useful working range for layout work. It collapses to 38.5 inches for transport and storage, opens to a maximum height of 60 inches, and has an open width of 30 inches. That combination gives you a stable footprint when deployed without making the tripod overly bulky in the truck.

This Milwaukee tripod makes the most sense for contractors and crews who rely on laser layout and need support gear that is as dependable as the laser itself. It is a strong fit for concrete crews, site prep, utility work, general construction, and remodelers doing layout and elevation checks. If you are using a rotary laser in the dirt, on a slab, or around active equipment, this is the kind of tripod that is built for the real job instead of just the showroom shelf.

Stable Setup on Rough Ground

On outdoor layout work, a tripod is only as good as its footing. This one is built to stay planted when the surface is dirt, gravel, or uneven ground instead of a clean slab.

• Reinforced spiked metal feet help anchor the tripod on rough jobsite terrain
• 30 inch open width gives the setup a broad, stable stance

Milwaukee 48-35-3700 Rotary Laser Tripod Portability That Actually Helps

Support gear should not slow you down. The lightweight frame and included shoulder strap make this tripod easier to move from setup to setup without eating time or wearing you out.

• 8.1 lb aluminum construction balances durability and carry comfort
• Collapses to 38.5 in for easier storage in the truck or gang box

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

A tripod that is built for the dirt, not just the box

The Milwaukee 48-35-3700 Rotary Laser Tripod gets the basics right: it is stable, durable, easy to carry, and uses the thread pattern most laser users actually need.

• Who it's for: Contractors, layout crews, concrete crews, and anyone using rotary or compatible construction lasers on active jobsites.
• Why it stands out: The aluminum frame keeps weight reasonable, the spiked feet make more sense outdoors, and the standard 5/8 in x 11 mount gives it broader usefulness.
• Worth knowing: This is support gear, not a bargain-bin accessory. If your laser matters, buying a tripod that can take abuse and stay put is money well spent.
