For a kit at this size, that matters.

Overview

The Milwaukee 64pc. Hand Tool Set with PACKOUT 4-Drawer Tool Box, model 48-22-9493, is a complete hand tool storage and organization kit built for mechanics, service techs, contractors, and serious DIY users who want one grab-and-go setup instead of a pile of loose tools. This is a hand tool set designed for general fastening, gripping, prying, measuring, and everyday service work. The big advantage here is simple: Milwaukee combines 64 commonly used hand tools with a PACKOUT drawer box and fitted trays, so your tools are protected, visible, and ready to work.

This set is not just a random assortment of tools thrown in a box. Milwaukee breaks it into purpose-built tray groups for screwdrivers and pry bars, pliers and picks, pliers and wrenches, plus hex keys and hammers. That layout matters on the job because it cuts down the hunt time. When you open a drawer, the high-contrast EVA foam and easy-to-read size labeling help you spot what is missing and grab the right tool fast. For mobile work, that is a real benefit, especially when you are moving between service bays, punch list work, or equipment maintenance.

The included hand tools also bring some real substance. Milwaukee calls out TORQUE LOCK locking pliers for faster setup and stronger holding force, high-leverage screwdrivers with magnetic tips, long-reach pliers for better access, pry bars with an I-beam design for up to 40% more prying strength, and a dead blow hammer built for maximum impact with a durable handle. Those are not filler pieces. They are the kinds of tools that actually take abuse and solve day-to-day problems, which is what you want in a premium 64-piece mechanic and service tool set.

On the storage side, the PACKOUT 4-drawer tool box is a big reason this kit stands out. The drawer format gives you access to the tools you need without unloading the whole stack, and Milwaukee includes reinforced trays sized for the drawers so the system stays organized instead of turning into a catch-all. The box is part of the Milwaukee PACKOUT modular storage system, so it fits into a larger setup if you already use PACKOUT. Milwaukee also notes that the drawer box includes a locking security bar that can be secured with a padlock, which adds some peace of mind for shop floors, work vans, and shared jobsite storage.

Material-wise, Milwaukee lists a mix of S2 steel, forged steel, foam, and polypropylene. In practical terms, that means the tools are built from the kinds of materials you expect in pro-grade hand tools, while the trays and box are set up to hold their shape and keep the kit protected during transport. At 53.7 lbs, this is not a light homeowner starter kit. It is a substantial, fully loaded storage-and-tool package meant for users who would rather invest once in a unified system.

Who is this set really for? It makes the most sense for automotive techs, maintenance crews, service professionals, remodelers, and anyone already bought into PACKOUT who wants their core hand tools in one organized drawer box. If you need just a couple screwdrivers and a pair of pliers, this is overkill. If you want a shop-ready Milwaukee setup that gives you broad coverage, fast organization, and a storage platform you can build around, this kit makes a strong case.

This setup is built for users who work out of drawers, carts, and service vehicles and need fast access without sacrificing organization. The PACKOUT drawer format keeps the tool kit compact, protected, and easier to manage than loose hand tools in an open tote.
