Key Features

Big Grip, 14-Inch Size The OVERBITE jaw gives this Milwaukee pipe wrench a large gripping surface, so it bites pipe cleanly without feeling undersized for everyday plumbing and mechanical work. The 14-inch length gives you usable leverage while still fitting where a longer wrench gets awkward. Built for Hard Use Through-hardened jaws, durable teeth, and dual coil springs are there for one reason: longer service life. If you use a pipe wrench regularly, those are the parts that matter when the tool starts seeing real jobsite abuse. Comfort That Matters The ergonomic handle shape is designed not to dig into your palm during repeated adjustments and hard pulls. Milwaukee also adds a tether-ready handle loop, which is a practical touch for ladder, lift, and overhead work.

Overview

The Milwaukee 48-22-7114 14 in. Steel Pipe Wrench is a straight pipe wrench built for gripping and turning threaded pipe and fittings. This is a pipe wrench designed for plumbing, mechanical, and general service work where you need a dependable bite on round stock. Model Number: 48-22-7114. With a 14-inch body and a maximum pipe size capacity of 2 inches, it lands in a useful middle ground for everyday carry and regular service calls.

What matters most on a pipe wrench is how well it grabs and how long that grip stays consistent. Milwaukee uses an OVERBITE jaw design with a large gripping surface, backed by through-hardened jaws and durable teeth. In plain terms, that means the wrench is built to hold pipe securely under load instead of slipping when you lean on it. The adjustable design also covers a wide working range, from 3/8 inch up to 2 inch pipe diameter, so one wrench can handle a lot of common jobs.

The handle shape is a big part of why this wrench stands out from cheaper options. Milwaukee calls out an ergonomic handle form that is designed not to dig into the palm, and that matters more than it sounds like on a long day. Pipe wrenches are simple tools, but comfort shows up fast when you are breaking loose stubborn fittings, making repeated adjustments, or working in awkward positions where all your force is going through your hand.

There are a few small design details here that make jobsite use easier. The hook jaw is shaped for easier detachment from the workpiece, which helps when you are moving quickly from fitting to fitting. Dual coil springs are built in for added durability and tool life. Milwaukee also includes a tether-ready handle loop, which is useful for tradespeople working on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, or any place where dropping a hand tool creates a real problem.

This Milwaukee straight pipe wrench is made from steel and built as an individual hand tool, not part of a kit. It is a straightforward choice for plumbers, pipefitters, maintenance techs, and general contractors who want a solid 14-inch wrench with full-size bite and better ergonomics than the bargain-bin options. If you need a pipe wrench that covers common service sizes, feels right in the hand, and is built for repeat use, this one checks the right boxes without getting complicated.
