Overview

The Milwaukee 48-11-2422 M12 REDLITHIUM CP2.0 Battery Two Pack is a compact cordless power tool battery kit for users on the Milwaukee M12 platform. This is a compact lithium-ion battery pack designed for powering Milwaukee M12 cordless tools. Model Number 48-11-2422. If you want lighter batteries for everyday service work, tight-space fastening, and general M12 tool use, this is the setup that keeps your kit mobile without adding unnecessary bulk.

Each battery delivers 2.0 amp-hours of capacity, which hits a practical middle ground for compact M12 tools. You get enough runtime for a lot of day-to-day drilling, driving, cutting, inspection, and installation work while keeping the tool smaller and easier to handle than a larger extended-capacity pack. On lighter-duty tools, that lower profile can make a noticeable difference when you are working overhead, reaching into cabinets, or carrying a tool all day.

Milwaukee builds these packs around its REDLITHIUM battery design, which combines pack construction, electronics, and cell monitoring to improve durability and consistency. REDLINK intelligence is the important part here because it helps manage performance and protect against overload in heavy-duty situations. That means the battery is doing more than just storing power. It is also helping protect the tool and the pack when the job gets demanding.

Jobsite conditions matter with batteries, and Milwaukee specifically calls out all-weather performance and operation in climates below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. That is useful for contractors and service techs who do not get to pick the temperature. The pack is also designed to run cooler, and Milwaukee notes integrated temperature management plus individual cell monitoring to help maximize battery life over time.

The compact form factor is one of the real selling points of this battery two-pack. Milwaukee describes it as lightweight and easier to use in tight workspaces, and that lines up with what most M12 users actually want from a CP2.0 pack. On compact drills, impact drivers, ratchets, inspection tools, and other M12 cordless tools, a smaller battery often makes the whole setup feel better balanced and less tiring to use.

Compatibility is straightforward. These batteries are built for the Milwaukee M12 cordless tool system, so they power all Milwaukee M12 cordless power tools. They are rechargeable lithium-ion packs and do not include a charger, which is worth knowing if you are buying into M12 for the first time. If you already own M12 chargers and tools, this is an easy way to add more batteries to the rotation and spend less time waiting on a charge.

Who should buy this set? It makes the most sense for existing Milwaukee M12 users who want extra batteries that keep tools compact and easy to manage. It is also a good choice for electricians, HVAC techs, plumbers, maintenance crews, and punch-list contractors who value small-tool handling as much as raw runtime. If your work is mostly service-oriented and you want batteries that do not turn a compact tool into a brick, this two-pack is the right kind of practical.

Keep M12 Tools Compact and Easy to Handle

The main reason to buy a compact M12 battery is simple: better balance on smaller tools. These packs are made to keep your cordless setup lighter and easier to use where space is limited or the tool stays in your hand for long stretches.
