4-In-1 AccessThe Milwaukee 2505-20 M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver gives you four dedicated heads that mount in 16 positions, so you can drill or drive where a standard drill simply will not fit. Real Installation PowerUp to 300 in-lbs of torque and a 2-speed brushless drivetrain give this installation drill driver enough muscle for common drilling and fastening work without giving up control. Built for Tight WorkThe inline grip, slim profile, flat top, and on-board magnetic bit holder make it easier to work inside cabinets, between studs, above ceilings, and anywhere access is limited.

Overview

The Milwaukee 2505-20 M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver is a compact cordless installation drill driver built for drilling and fastening in tight, awkward, and finished spaces. This is a drill driver designed for installation work where access and control matter as much as raw size. Model 2505-20 is the tool-only version, so it is aimed at users already on the Milwaukee M12 battery platform or anyone adding a specialized installation tool to an existing kit.

What makes this tool different is the multi-head setup. Milwaukee includes a 3/8 inch metal chuck attachment, a 1/4 inch hex attachment, an offset attachment, and a right angle attachment. Those heads can be mounted in 16 different positions, which gives you a lot more ways to get the bit exactly where you need it. In real work, that means reaching inside a cabinet corner, running screws near a side panel, drilling behind mounted hardware, or driving fasteners where a full-size drill body would block your hand before the bit reaches the work.

The power side is not an afterthought. The POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers up to 300 in-lbs of max torque with a 2-speed range of 0 to 400 and 0 to 1,600 RPM. That is a practical range for installation tasks because low speed helps with controlled fastening while high speed handles lighter drilling and general driver work. Combined with 16 clutch settings, it gives you better control when you are working around hardware, electrical boxes, trim, or finished surfaces where overdriving a screw can turn a quick job into a repair.

Milwaukee also paid attention to the way this tool sits in the hand and in the workspace. The inline grip helps keep the tool compact front to back, which is a big deal when you are working in a narrow opening. The flat top lets you get the tool closer to a surface when clearance is tight overhead or against a panel. The magnetic bit holder keeps multiple bits on board, which saves time when you are bouncing between pilot holes, driver bits, and finish hardware. These are small details, but they are the kind of details that matter when the job has a hundred fasteners instead of ten.

For jobsite durability and control, the Milwaukee 2505-20 M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver uses an all-metal chuck attachment and REDLINK PLUS intelligence to help protect the tool from overload and overheating. That matters because installation work often means awkward body position, inconsistent pressure, and repeated stop-start use in confined spaces. Protection electronics and a brushless motor help the tool stay consistent when you are making a lot of short, repetitive runs.

This tool runs on Milwaukee M12 REDLITHIUM batteries, and it is compatible with all M12 battery packs. Since this is a bare tool configuration, battery and charger are not included. That makes the most sense for existing M12 users who want the special-purpose flexibility of an installation drill driver without buying into another platform. If you already carry M12 tools for service, punch-list, or trim work, this slots in naturally.

Who should buy it? Electricians, cabinet installers, HVAC techs, maintenance crews, remodelers, and automotive users are the obvious fit. It is especially useful for anyone who works inside finished spaces and needs to drill or drive cleanly without wrestling a larger drill. If you mainly do open-area rough drilling, a standard compact drill may be enough. But if access is what slows you down, this tool earns its place fast.

Reach the Fasteners Other Drills Cannot

This setup is built for access first. Instead of forcing one drill to handle every angle, Milwaukee gives you dedicated attachments that let you match the head to the space.

• Includes 3/8 inch metal chuck, 1/4 inch hex, offset, and right angle attachments
• Attachments mount in 16 positions for better bit alignment in corners and along edges

Compact Control for Finish and Service Work

The slim body and inline grip make this tool easier to guide when you are working around finish materials, hardware, or packed mechanical spaces where a bulky drill feels clumsy.

• Compact 5.1 inch length helps the drill driver fit into tighter openings
• Magnetic bit holder keeps multiple bits on board for quicker changes between tasks

Pro Tip

When you need to drive close to a cabinet side or inside a corner, start with the offset attachment before reaching for the right angle head. It usually keeps the bit closer to the fastener centerline, which helps you stay cleaner and avoid scuffing finished material.
