Overview

The Mi-T-M WTP-T04-0MGH 4-Inch Trash Water Pump is a gas-powered trash pump for moving large volumes of dirty water that may contain debris. This is a trash water pump designed for dewatering, wastewater removal, and jobsite cleanup. Model Number: WTP-T04-0MGH. If you need to clear out flooded areas, construction pits, or standing waste water without babying the machine, this is the kind of pump you bring.

What makes this unit matter is the combination of flow and debris handling. Its 4 inch by 4 inch suction and discharge size supports a maximum capacity of 34,800 gallons per hour, so it is built for serious water movement instead of occasional homeowner duty. It can also handle solids up to 1 inch in diameter, which is the whole point of stepping up to a trash pump instead of a cleaner-water transfer pump. Muddy runoff, dirty trench water, and debris-laden standing water are exactly where this tool earns its keep.

Power comes from a 389cc Honda GX390 overhead valve engine, which is a proven choice for equipment that needs reliable starting and steady output in the field. The pump is rated for a maximum total head of 95 feet, a suction lift of 26 feet, and 38 PSI. In practical terms, that gives you the ability to pull water from lower areas and move it a meaningful distance without turning the job into a slow all-day drain-down process.

Mi-T-M built the pump around real durability points, not cosmetic features. The wraparound frame is heavy-duty and powder coated, which helps protect the machine during transport, loading, and jobsite use. Rubber isolators help minimize vibration, reducing wear and making the unit more stable while running. Inside the pump, the cast iron impeller and volute are there for a reason: these parts take abuse, and cast iron stands up better to wear in dirty pumping applications than lighter-duty materials.

The seal package matters too. Durable silicon carbide mechanical seals are a strong fit for a trash pump because they are made to hold up under abrasive conditions better than bargain-grade components. Mi-T-M also uses a die cast aluminum pump body to keep the unit more manageable to move than an all-cast design. At 167 pounds net weight, this is still a substantial machine, but the material choice helps balance durability with portability.

Serviceability is another strong point. The easy-to-remove clean-out cover and volute make it easier to clear debris and get the pump back to work when the intake sees the kind of material that comes with dirty water pumping. That saves time in the field because you are not fighting the machine just to clean it out. On equipment like this, easy maintenance is not a bonus feature. It is part of what keeps the day moving.

This Mi-T-M trash pump is a good fit for contractors, property maintenance crews, municipalities, landscapers, and anyone handling large-scale dewatering where clean water pumps do not last. If your work involves flooded excavations, storm cleanup, ditch work, ponds, or construction runoff, the 4 inch capacity and debris tolerance are what justify stepping into this class of pump. It is more pump than a casual user needs, but for serious water removal, that is exactly the point.

Pro Tip

If you are pumping especially dirty water, check the clean-out cover before a small restriction turns into a big drop in flow. That easy-access design is there to keep you working, so use it instead of trying to push through debris buildup.
