Overview

The Makita XWH02Z 18V LXT Cordless 320 PSI 0.7 GPM Power Cleaner + 5.0Ah Battery bundles Makita's battery-powered power cleaner with an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery. This is a cordless power cleaner designed for light-duty washing and rinse-down work where a gas or corded pressure washer is more machine than the job needs. Model Number XWH02Z-PROMO BL1850B. It suits homeowners, contractors, and anyone who wants to clean vehicles, equipment, outdoor furniture, and windows without a cord or engine.

Makita rates the XWH02Z at up to 320 PSI and 0.7 GPM. That sits well above a garden hose nozzle but well below a full-size pressure washer, which is the point: enough pressure to knock mud off a mower deck, rinse a truck bed, or clean screens, without the risk of etching soft wood or forcing water past window seals. Two power levels let you choose more pressure for dirtier surfaces or lower output for gentler work and longer run time.

The water supply is the feature that sets this tool apart. The self-priming siphon hose draws from fresh water sources and water tanks, so you can work from a bucket at a campsite, a tank in a truck bed, or a rain barrel. When a spigot is close, connect a standard garden hose instead. Makita also offers a bottle adapter (sold separately) that lets the cleaner draw from a 2-liter bottle for quick spot jobs.

The included Makita BL1850B 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery is the pack Makita uses for the cleaner's 80-minute run time rating. It has a built-in LED fuel gauge and STAR Protection Computer Controls, which let the battery and tool exchange data in real time to guard against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. Makita rates the BL1850B for a full charge in 45 minutes or less on a Makita Rapid Optimum Charger. The charger is not included in this bundle.

Makita built the XWH02Z for wet conditions. Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) adds dust and water resistance for harsh job site conditions, and a protective cover closes over the battery to keep spray and debris off the terminals. A quick-connect design makes swapping the nozzle and extension wand fast, even with wet gloves. The tool measures 35" long and weighs 4.5 lbs without the battery, or 5.9 lbs with it.

The power cleaner is part of Makita's 18V LXT system, which runs on the same slide-style batteries as hundreds of Makita 18V LXT tools. If you already own LXT tools and a charger, the included 5.0Ah pack adds a high-capacity battery to your rotation. If you are new to LXT, you will need a compatible Makita charger to recharge it.

Who should buy it? Makita LXT owners who want a dedicated battery for cleanup, contractors who rinse tools and equipment at the end of the day, RV and boat owners who work away from a spigot, and homeowners who want to wash vehicles, bikes, and patio furniture without hauling out a pressure washer. It is not built to strip paint or blast large concrete slabs. For everyday cleaning, it is quick to set up and easy to put away.

Hook Up and Go

The quick-connect inlet snaps onto the included 20 ft hose assembly, whether you are siphoning from a bucket or running off a garden hose.

• Self-priming siphon for freshwater sources and tanks
• Garden hose connection when a spigot is available

Battery Stays Dry

Water and batteries do not mix. A hinged cover closes over the 18V LXT pack, and Extreme Protection Technology adds dust and water resistance to the tool itself.

• Protective battery cover helps prevent contamination
• Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) for wet, dirty conditions

Match the Spray to the Surface

Turn the nozzle instead of swapping tips. A tight stream handles caked mud, while the wide fan and shower patterns rinse windows, screens, and paint without damage.

• 0, 15, 25, and 40 degree patterns plus shower
• Two power levels for pressure or run time

Pro Tip

When siphoning, keep the hose end submerged and off the bottom of the bucket so it does not pull in grit. Start on the low power level to prime, then switch up once you have a steady stream.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Makita XWH02Z 18V LXT Cordless 320 PSI 0.7 GPM Power Cleaner + 5.0Ah Battery Earns Its Shelf Space

It fills the gap between a garden hose that does not clean and a pressure washer that takes longer to set up than the job takes to finish.

• Who it's for: Makita LXT owners, contractors who rinse gear on site, and anyone washing vehicles, boats, or outdoor furniture away from a spigot.
• Why it stands out: Siphon-or-hose water supply, a 5-in-1 nozzle, and a 5.0Ah pack rated for up to 80 minutes in one box.
• Worth knowing: No charger is included, and at 320 PSI it is a cleaner, not a surface stripper.

Common Questions

• Does this include a battery? Yes. It includes one Makita BL1850B 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery. A charger is not included.
• Can it pull water from a bucket? Yes. The self-priming siphon hose draws from freshwater sources and water tanks.
• How long will it run? Makita rates it for up to 80 minutes with an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery.
• Will it clean concrete? It handles light concrete rinsing and spot cleaning. For large slabs or heavy buildup, a higher-pressure washer is the right tool.
