Overview

The Makita T-92302 MAKTRAK Large Tool Box Lid Assembly is a replacement lid assembly for select Makita modular storage boxes. This is a replacement tool box lid assembly designed for restoring or upgrading compatible MAKTRAK storage boxes. Model Number T-92302. It is a practical part for users who already own the Rolling Tool Chest T-90009 or Large Tool Box T-90015 and need a proper factory replacement instead of trying to patch a broken lid.

What makes this part matter is that it is not just a bare plastic top. The assembly includes metal hinge pins, a lid gasket seal, and metal padlock eyelets for secure closure. That means you are getting the pieces that affect how the box opens, closes, seals, and locks, which is the stuff that actually determines whether your storage system still works the way it should on a real jobsite.

The footprint is also a big deal. Makita built this large lid to support the MAKTRAK modular stacking system, with room to connect one large box, two medium boxes, or four compact boxes. If you are using stackable storage to keep hand tools, bits, fasteners, and job-specific gear separated, that layout flexibility saves time every day because you can build the stack around the job instead of forcing everything into one box.

This lid assembly also includes multiple lid mounting points for more interior organization. That gives you more options to set up the inside of the box for the way you actually work, whether that means separating smaller parts, keeping layout gear easy to grab, or preventing loose items from shifting around during transport.

From a durability standpoint, the included metal hinge pins and metal padlock eyelets are the features worth paying attention to. Those are wear points on any storage box that gets opened constantly, loaded into a truck, or dragged around a remodel. Metal hardware holds up better where it counts and helps keep the box serviceable longer.

This assembly is specifically tied to the Makita MAKTRAK Modular Storage System, so it makes the most sense for users already invested in that platform. If you need a replacement component that keeps your stack compatible and working as intended, staying with the correct Makita part is the smart move.

The best buyer for this Makita replacement lid is the contractor, remodeler, electrician, plumber, service tech, or serious DIY user already running MAKTRAK storage. If your original lid is damaged or worn and the rest of your box is still good, the Makita T-92302 MAKTRAK Large Tool Box Lid Assembly is the clean fix.
