Key Features

Made for XPU01 The Makita 1916M8-3 shear blade set is designed specifically for the Makita 18V LXT cordless pruning shear, model XPU01. Upper and Lower Blades Both the upper and lower shear blades are included, so you replace the full cutting pair at once instead of matching a fresh blade to a worn one. Restores Clean Cuts Fresh blades bring back the precise, clean cuts that help plants heal faster after pruning.

Overview

The Makita 1916M8-3 Shear Blade Set is a replacement blade set for the Makita 18V LXT Brushless Cordless Pruning Shear (XPU01, sold separately). This is a pruning shear blade set designed to restore clean, precise cutting performance when the original blades are worn or damaged. Model number 1916M8-3.

The set includes both the upper and lower blades, which makes blade replacement straightforward. Replacing the pair together keeps the bypass cutting action matched and sharp, rather than pairing a new blade against a worn one.

Pruning quality matters for plant health. Dull blades crush and tear branches, leaving ragged wounds; sharp blades make clean cuts that close faster. The 1916M8-3 is a direct replacement that helps maintain that clean, efficient cutting performance.

Orchards, vineyards, nurseries, and landscape maintenance crews that run the XPU01 all day will go through blades. Keep a 1916M8-3 set in the truck so worn blades never slow down a pruning route.

Fresh Edges for Your Pruning Shear

Worn blades crush branches instead of cutting them. A new set brings the XPU01 back to clean, accurate bypass cuts.
