Overview

The Makita 191Y65-4 21 Inch Mulching Lawn Mower Blade is a direct replacement lawn mower blade for compatible Makita 21 inch lawn mowers. This is a lawn mower blade designed for mulching grass into finer clippings. Model Number: 191Y65-4. If you want to keep your Makita mower cutting cleanly without stepping into aftermarket guesswork, this is the OEM blade built for that job.

Its main job is simple: cut grass into small pieces that can be deposited back into the lawn as fertilizer. That matters because finer clippings break down faster and leave a cleaner finish than larger cutoffs. Makita also calls out clean cutting performance, which is what you want from a mulching blade when lawn appearance matters as much as basic trimming.

This blade is a 21 inch replacement blade for use with Makita lawn mowers. For buyers, that is the big value here. You are getting an OEM part made for Makita LXT and XGT 21 inch lawn mowers rather than trying to match dimensions and center holes on a generic blade. When a replacement part already fits the platform it was made for, installation usually goes smoother and you spend less time second-guessing compatibility.

Makita specifies easy one bolt installation, which makes this a practical maintenance item for homeowners and pros handling regular mower upkeep. If your current blade is worn, nicked up, or no longer mulching well, a direct replacement with a simple mounting setup is the fastest way to get the mower back in service.

The blade is constructed of high-quality materials for long life according to Makita. That is what you want in a mower blade: durability, stable fit, and consistent cutting performance over repeated use. Shipping weight is listed at 2.25 pounds, so it has enough mass for a solid replacement part without being awkward to handle during install.

Compatibility is a key part of this product. The Makita 191Y65-4 21 Inch Mulching Lawn Mower Blade is made for Makita LXT and XGT 21 inch lawn mowers, with the mower sold separately. This is best for Makita mower owners who want proper fit, mulching performance, and a genuine replacement blade instead of experimenting with off-brand parts.
