Key Features

12-Inch Brush Blade The Makita 1916D1-4 is a 12-inch, 3-tooth brush cutter blade that turns a blade-capable trimmer into a brush clearing tool for thick grass, weeds, and woody growth. Steel Construction Solid steel holds up to repeated contact with stalks and brush far longer than nylon line, so you spend less time reloading and more time cutting. Reversible Teeth When the leading edges dull, flip the blade over to put fresh cutting edges to work and get more life out of every blade.

Overview

The Makita 1916D1-4 12-in. 3-Tooth Brush Cutter Blade is a replacement and upgrade blade for Makita brush cutters and Makita string trimmers that are built to accept a brush cutter blade. This is a brush cutter blade designed for clearing grasses, shrubs, underwood, and thicket that nylon trimmer line can not handle efficiently. Model number 1916D1-4.

The three-tooth design is the go-to pattern for overgrown lots, ditch banks, fence lines, and field edges. Large teeth bite into dense grass and weed stalks and knock down light brush without wrapping and stalling the way trimmer line does in heavy growth.

The blade is made of steel for longer life on the job. It is also reversible: once the cutting edges on one side wear, flip the blade to bring the unused edges into the direction of rotation and extend its service life before replacement.

This blade is for use with select Makita brush cutters and with Makita string trimmers that are capable of accepting a brush cutter blade. The brush cutter or string trimmer is sold separately. Always confirm that your power head is rated for a blade and fitted with the correct guard before installation.

The 1916D1-4 is a smart pick for landscapers, grounds maintenance crews, property managers, and rural homeowners who regularly clear growth that is too heavy for line. Keep a spare on the truck so a dull blade never stops the job.
