Track-Guided Cuts This Kreg Tool ACS2000-KIT plunge saw kit is built to ride on a guide track, so you can make straighter rip cuts and crosscuts in sheet goods without wrestling full panels across a table saw. Cleaner Work Area The saw is shown with onboard dust collection, which helps keep the cut line more visible and cuts down on the mess that usually comes with breaking down plywood and panels. Portable Kit Setup With a carry bag shown in the product images, this setup is easier to move, store, and bring to the job instead of dedicating floor space to a stationary panel-cutting setup.

Overview

The Kreg Tool ACS2000-KIT plunge saw kit is a track-guided cutting system for breaking down plywood, panels, and other sheet goods with more control than a standard circular saw. This is a plunge saw designed for straight, guided cutting in sheet materials and woodworking applications. Model number ACS2000-KIT. If you need to make long rip cuts or square crosscuts on large stock without feeding full sheets through a shop saw, this is the kind of setup that makes the job simpler and more predictable.

What matters here is the combination of the saw and guide rail working together. In the product images, the saw rides directly on the track, which helps keep the blade on line through the whole cut. That means less guesswork, less wandering off your mark, and better results when you are sizing cabinet parts, trimming down plywood, or cutting large panels on a bench or work surface. For contractors and serious DIY users who work with sheet goods regularly, that kind of control saves time and reduces wasted material.

The plunge saw format also changes how you approach the cut. Instead of starting from an exposed spinning blade like a typical sidewinder, the saw is built to lower into the material while staying guided by the rail. In practical use, that gives you better control when starting a cut and makes this style of saw especially useful for clean, deliberate panel work. Based on the images, the saw is shaped for two-handed operation, with a main rear handle and a front support handle that helps keep the saw steady during longer passes.

Another real-world advantage is jobsite practicality. The images show onboard dust collection attached directly to the rear of the saw. That matters because cutting sheet goods creates a lot of fine dust, and anything that helps keep the line cleaner and the workspace more manageable is a plus. It also makes the tool better suited for indoor remodeling work, finish carpentry spaces, garage shops, and basement workshops where dust gets out of hand fast.

This kit also looks built around portability. The included soft carrying bag shown in the images is a big deal if you are moving between jobs or storing the system when not in use. A track saw setup like this gives you many of the benefits people want for plywood breakdown, but in a format that can travel with you to the material instead of forcing the material to come to the machine. That is a practical difference for installers, remodelers, and anyone working in tight spaces.

From a workflow standpoint, this Kreg plunge saw kit makes the most sense for users who regularly cut cabinet-grade plywood, project panels, shelving stock, and other large boards. Woodworkers, finish carpenters, remodelers, and dedicated DIY builders will get the most from it. If your work centers on sheet goods and you want straighter guided cuts, better control at the start of the cut, and a setup that stores easier than a full-size stationary saw, this system fits that need well.

Make Full Sheets Easier to Handle

Breaking down plywood on a bench is usually safer and easier than trying to balance large sheets on a standard saw setup. The Kreg Tool ACS2000-KIT is shown doing exactly that, with the saw guided along the rail for a controlled cut.

• Track-guided cutting helps keep long cuts straight across wide panels
• Well suited for plywood sizing, cabinet parts, and shop-built furniture work

Keep the Cut Controlled From Start to Finish

The saw-and-rail setup gives you a more guided cut path than a freehand circular saw. That is the kind of control you want when one bad pass can ruin an expensive panel.

• Plunge saw design is made for guided entry into the material
• Useful for both long rip cuts and square crosscuts in sheet stock

Work Cleaner in the Shop or on Site

Dust control is not just about cleanup. It also helps you see what you are doing and keeps the work area more manageable when you are cutting indoors or in a finished space.

• Images show integrated dust collection mounted at the rear of the saw
• Cleaner cutting is especially helpful for remodeling and interior woodworking

Bring the Saw to the Material

One of the best reasons to own a plunge saw kit is mobility. Instead of committing floor space to a dedicated sheet-cutting station, you can set up where the material already is and make accurate cuts right there.

• Portable cutting approach is useful for remodeling, installation, and garage shops
• Works well on benches and temporary support stations for oversized panels

Pro Tip

When you are cutting full sheets with a plunge saw and rail setup, support both the keeper piece and the cutoff side before you start the cut. That keeps the panel from pinching the blade near the end and helps the Kreg system track smoothly the whole way.
