6 Tools in One The Knipex 13 81 200 6-in-1 Electrical Installation Pliers-Metric Wire handles gripping, cutting, stripping, bending, crimping, and deburring with one tool. That means fewer trips back to the bag and less tool swapping when you're roughing in or trimming out. Made for Common Wire Sizes Built-in stripping stations cover 0.75 to 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm conductors, and the ferrule crimp die handles 0.5 to 2.5 mm. It is set up for the wire sizes electricians actually run into every day. Slim Head, Better Access The slim head and serrated gripping areas help you reach into boxes and tight spots while still getting a solid hold on flat or round material. That is a real advantage when space is tight and you still need control.

Overview

Knipex 13 81 200 6-in-1 Electrical Installation Pliers-Metric Wire is a multi-function electrical pliers built for installers who want one hand tool to cover several wire-prep jobs cleanly and quickly. This is a wire stripping and electrical installation pliers designed for gripping, cutting, stripping, bending, crimping ferrules, and deburring during electrical work. Model Number: 13 81 200.

The big story here is efficiency. Instead of carrying separate pliers, a wire stripper, and a ferrule crimper for common metric sizes, this tool combines those functions into one 8 inch format. The stripping capacity covers 0.75 to 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm conductors, while the crimp die is sized for ferrules from 0.5 to 2.5 mm. If you are terminating conductors, dressing cable, and making quick adjustments at the box, that saves time fast.

Knipex also built these with the kind of jaw geometry that makes them more useful than a standard combination pliers. The serrated gripping surfaces and pipe grip let you grab both flat and round material with confidence, while the slim head dimensions help in panels, device boxes, and other places where bulkier pliers get clumsy. The cutting section is rated for copper and aluminum multi-conductor up to 9/16 inch, with handle markings calling out a 15 mm / 50 mm copper and aluminum capacity. One important note: do not use it to cut steel.

Construction is what you would expect from Knipex. The pliers are made from high-grade special tool steel, forged, and multi-stage oil-hardened for long-term durability. The surface is polished with a black atramentized finish, and the joint is bolted for solid action. In plain terms, this is not a throwaway multi-tool. It is meant to live in an electrician's pouch and keep working.

The non-slip plastic handles keep the grip straightforward and comfortable without adding bulk. These are not 1000 volt insulated pliers, so they are not the choice when you need certified insulated hand tools for live-work protocols. For de-energized installation work, trim-out, and bench prep, though, the simpler handle design keeps the tool lean and easy to maneuver.

What makes this model matter is how tightly it is focused on electrical installation. The stripping notches, ferrule crimp range, gripping zones, and cutting section are all aimed at common electrician tasks rather than trying to be a generic pliers that sort of does everything. If you work with metric wire sizes and ferrules, this tool lines up well with that workflow.

Who should buy it? Electricians, control panel builders, maintenance techs, and serious DIY users doing clean electrical work will get the most out of it. If you need one compact pliers that can prep conductors, crimp end sleeves, and still act like a proper gripping and cutting tool, this is a smart piece to keep on you. If you specifically need insulated pliers for energized environments, look elsewhere.

Handle More of the Job with One Tool

This tool is built around the actual flow of electrical installation work. Grip the wire, strip it to size, clean up the end, and move to termination without reaching for a second or third tool.

• Performs six functions: grips, cuts, strips, bends, crimps, and deburrs
• Stripping stations sized for 0.75 to 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm conductors

Built Around Electrical Terminations

The integrated ferrule crimp section is what separates this from a standard combination pliers. If you work with end sleeves, you can prep and crimp with one hand tool instead of bouncing between tools at the pouch.

• Crimp die for ferrules from 0.5 to 2.5 mm
• Serrated gripping surfaces hold flat and round material securely

Lean Shape for Tight Boxes and Panels

Bulky pliers are annoying in crowded boxes. The slim head on this model gives you better access without giving up the grip zones and cutting capability needed for everyday electrical work.

• 8 inch overall length balances reach and control
• Bolted joint and forged steel construction are built for daily carry and repeated use

Pro Tip

If you are using ferrules, strip only what the ferrule barrel needs, then crimp right away with the built-in die. That keeps the conductor neat and helps avoid stray strands when you're working fast in a panel or device box.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

Knipex 13 81 200 6-in-1 Electrical Installation Pliers-Metric Wire is the kind of electrician's pliers that actually earns space in the pouch

If your work revolves around prepping and terminating wire, this tool cuts down the back-and-forth better than most so-called multi-function pliers.

• Who it's for: Electricians, panel builders, and maintenance techs working with metric wire sizes and ferrules.
• Why it stands out: It combines real electrical-installation functions in one forged Knipex pliers instead of just adding gimmicks to a standard jaw shape.
• Worth knowing: This is not a 1000 volt insulated tool, and it is meant for copper and aluminum multi-conductor, not steel cutting.
