That means less slipping, less readjusting, and better control when you're breaking loose stubborn fittings. Three Useful Sizes This water pump pliers set gives you 7-1/4 inch, 10 inch, and 12 inch tools in one tray. You can grab the right size for tight service work or bigger pipe without carrying extra duplicates. Built for Hard Use Forged chrome vanadium electric steel, a box-joint design, and hardened teeth give these Knipex Alligator pliers the kind of durability that holds up in shop, service, and jobsite work.

Overview

The Knipex 00 20 07 US1 3 Pc Alligator Pliers Set is a three-piece water pump pliers set built for gripping, turning, and holding pipe, nuts, fittings, and irregular shapes. This is a water pump pliers set designed for plumbing, service work, maintenance, and general gripping tasks. Model Number 00 20 07 US1. If you want one set that covers tight spaces, medium-duty daily work, and larger pipe without jumping between different tool styles, this is the kind of set that earns drawer space fast.

Knipex includes three Alligator pliers in the sizes that actually matter: 88 01 180 at 7-1/4 inches, 88 01 250 at 10 inches, and 88 01 300 at 12 inches. That spread gives you real range, from compact access under sinks and inside equipment to larger fittings and pipe where extra length gives you more leverage. The jaw capacities step up with each size, reaching up to 2-3/4 inches on round pipe in the largest plier.

What makes the Alligator pattern so useful on the job is the self-locking action on pipes and nuts. Instead of constantly squeezing to keep the jaws planted, the pliers grab and stay engaged, which reduces hand fatigue and helps prevent the tool from skating off the work. That matters when you're working on rounded plumbing connections, old shutoffs, corroded hardware, or anything you only want to grab once.

Each plier uses a box-joint design, which is a big deal for stability. The double-guide construction keeps the jaws tracking straight under load, so the tool feels more planted when you're leaning on it. Add in the slim head and joint area, and you get better access around nearby pipes, valves, and tight mechanical layouts where bulkier pliers start fighting you.

The gripping teeth are specially hardened to about 61 HRC, which is why these pliers have the bite Knipex is known for. Hard teeth wear slower, hang on better, and keep doing their job after plenty of contact with rough pipe, flats, and fasteners. Combined with the serrated gripping surface, that makes this set more dependable on round, hex, square, and flat workpieces than a smoother-jaw general-purpose plier.

Knipex builds these from chrome vanadium electric steel that is forged and oil-hardened, with a polished finish and black atramentized surface. In plain terms, this is a tough, job-ready construction meant for repeated use, not a light-duty homeowner set that gets sloppy after a season. The non-slip plastic handles keep the grip straightforward and durable without adding unnecessary bulk.

Jobsite practicality is strong here too. The forged pinch guard helps keep your fingers from getting caught during adjustment and heavy squeezing. The set also ships in a plastic tray with molded cavities, which makes more sense than loose tools rolling around a drawer. If you keep hand tools in a cabinet, service van, or bench drawer, that tray keeps the set organized and easy to spot.

This Knipex pliers set makes the most sense for plumbers, HVAC technicians, mechanics, maintenance crews, industrial service techs, and serious DIY users who want reliable gripping tools instead of bargain-bin throwaways. If you regularly work on pipe, locknuts, couplings, or odd-shaped parts, the size range and jaw stability make this set a smart buy. If you only need one occasional plier for light household use, it may be more tool than you need. But if you actually use water pump pliers, this set covers a lot of ground the right way.

Grip Hard Without Fighting the Tool

The self-locking jaw action is what separates these from ordinary tongue-and-groove pliers. Once the jaws are set on the work, you can put force where it belongs instead of wasting effort trying to keep the tool from slipping.

• Designed to lock onto pipes and nuts with low hand force required
• Serrated gripping surfaces help hold round, hex, square, and flat shapes

Adjust Fast and Stay Stable

Nine adjustment positions give you a useful spread of fit options without making the joint loose or clumsy. The box-joint build keeps the pliers tracking straight when you're leaning on them, which is exactly what you want in heavier gripping work.

• 9 adjustment positions for increased gripping capacity
• Box-joint construction uses a double guide for better stability

One Set Covers Tight Spaces to Larger Pipe

The size mix is what makes this set practical. The small plier gets into cramped areas, the 10 inch handles everyday carry duty, and the 12 inch gives you extra reach and leverage when fittings get bigger or tighter.

• Includes 180 mm, 250 mm, and 300 mm pliers
• Largest tool handles up to 2-3/4 inch round pipe capacity
