Overview

The Grabo GP-1Li-FB Pro-Lifter 20 Vacuum Lift System Kit is a portable electric vacuum lifter built for moving heavy, awkward materials with more control and less strain. This is a vacuum lifter designed for lifting, carrying, and placing sheet materials and other flat workpieces. Model Number: GP-1Li-FB. If you work with glass, tile, metal, wood, stone, drywall, or rough construction materials, this tool gives you a safer and more reliable way to grab, move, and set them than a basic manual suction cup.

What separates this unit from a simple suction handle is the way it manages vacuum pressure for you. The pump has a rated airflow of 0.7 cfm, or 20 L/min, and the system automatically monitors suction through a digital pressure sensor. When vacuum pressure drops, the pump powers back up and restores holding force. When it reaches maximum vacuum rate, the pump stops automatically at 11.6 psi. On the job, that matters because you are not guessing whether the tool is still holding. The digital display gives live feedback, and the automatic cycling helps keep material secure during lifting and movement.

The design is built around portability and control. At 11.77 in. long, 7.22 in. wide, and 4.76 in. high, the tool is compact enough to carry with one hand, and at 3.2 lbs with the battery installed, it stays manageable even when you are repositioning it all day. The handle houses the vacuum pump and rechargeable battery, so you get a self-contained lifting tool instead of dealing with an external pump setup. Four anchor points are built into the body, which gives you more options when extra grips or straps make sense for large panels or trickier moves.

Where this Grabo vacuum lift system really earns its keep is material range. It works on non-porous flat surfaces and is also effective on dusty, semi-porous, or rough surfaces. Listed material examples include glass, ceramic tile, metal, plastic, wood, rough slate, rough concrete, and drywall. Lift ratings vary by surface and orientation, which is exactly what you want to know before buying. Maximum perpendicular hold is listed at 375 lbs for glass and ceramic tile, while wood is listed at 220 lbs perpendicular and 143 lbs parallel, and rough concrete is listed at 176 lbs. That makes this tool useful not just in the shop, but out in real installation conditions where surfaces are not always perfectly smooth.

The battery system is practical for field use. The removable 14.8VDC 2600mAh lithium-ion battery charges in about 2 hours, runs about 1.5 hours continuously, and is rated for about 900 on-off cycles of 10 seconds each on a full charge. Standby charge hold is listed at 30 days. For installers and material handlers, that means the tool can sit in the truck or gang box without becoming useless after a short idle period, and it is ready for repeat picks through the day instead of just a few lifts and done.

This kit makes the most sense for glaziers, tile installers, countertop crews, remodelers, general contractors, metal fabricators, and serious DIY users who regularly move flat or semi-porous material that is heavy, slick, or hard to hold. If your work involves setting large-format tile, carrying glass panels, shifting sheet metal, placing stone, or handling panels without chewing up your hands and back, the Grabo GP-1Li-FB Pro-Lifter 20 Vacuum Lift System Kit is the kind of tool that saves time immediately because one person can control material that usually takes more effort, more risk, or another set of hands.

Move Heavy Material With More Control

This tool is built for the kind of material that is easy to damage and hard to grab. Instead of pinching edges or relying on basic cups, the vacuum lifter gives you a solid handle on the workpiece so you can guide it instead of wrestling it.

• Maximum lifting capacity is rated at 375 lbs (170 kg)
• Digital pressure gauge and automatic sensors help maintain constant vacuum

Works Beyond Smooth Surfaces

The big advantage here is range. The Grabo system is meant for more than clean showroom material. It is also intended for dusty, semi-porous, and rough surfaces where ordinary suction handles start to become unreliable.

• Listed for use on glass, ceramic tile, metal, plastic, wood, rough slate, rough concrete, and drywall
• Applicable surface profile is listed as peak and valley heights under 0.1 in. (3 mm) with arc less than 5 degrees

Built For Real Jobsite Handling

This is not a bench-only specialty tool. It is compact, battery powered, and easy to carry from cut station to install point, which is exactly what you need when the material is moving with you across the site.

• Compact body measures 11.77 x 7.22 x 4.76 in.
• Net weight with battery is 3.2 lbs, helping reduce fatigue during repeated lifts

If you are setting lighter material, the vacuum pump can be turned off after attachment. That can help you work quieter and conserve battery, then use the red release button when you are ready to remove the tool.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

Grabo GP-1Li-FB Pro-Lifter 20 Vacuum Lift System Kit is the kind of tool that earns its spot fast

If you move big, heavy, awkward material more than once in a while, this vacuum lift system saves effort, improves control, and makes solo handling a lot more realistic.

• Who it's for: Pros working with glass, tile, sheet goods, metal, stone, drywall, and other flat materials that are hard to grip safely by hand.
• Why it stands out: The automatic pressure control and digital display make it a smarter option than a basic suction cup, and the 375 lb max capacity puts it in serious work territory.
• Worth knowing: Lift ratings change by material and orientation, and GRABO specifically warns against attaching it to glass thinner than 6 mm.

Common Questions

• What is the maximum lifting capacity? The maximum listed lifting capacity is 375 lbs (170 kg), though actual hold varies by material and whether the load is perpendicular or parallel.
• What materials can this vacuum lifter handle? It handles glass, ceramic tile, metal, plastic, wood, rough slate, rough concrete, and drywall.
• How long does the battery run? The battery is rated for about 1.5 hours of non-stop running or about 900 on-off cycles of 10 seconds each on a full charge.
• How long does it take to recharge? Battery charging time is listed at approximately 2 hours.
• Is there a limitation for thin glass? Yes. GRABO states that you should not attempt to attach the tool to glass thinner than 6 mm because damage can occur.
