Key Features

Clean Panel Cuts The Hi-Alternate Top Bevel tooth design is built to leave chip-free edges in melamine, veneer plywood, and laminated panels. That matters when the finished edge is the part the customer sees. Built for Production Freud uses TiCo Hi-Density Carbide and a Triple Chip Grind geometry to hold an edge longer in demanding panel sizing work. Less time swapping blades means more time feeding sheets. Freud Panel Blade Control The anti-vibration design, precision-ground plate, and Silver I.C.E. Coating help the Freud LU3A03 300mm Panel Sizing Saw Blade run flatter, cooler, and smoother through sheet goods.

Overview

The Freud LU3A03 300mm Panel Sizing Saw Blade is a carbide-tipped panel sizing blade made for sliding table saws and panel cutting applications where edge quality matters. This is a circular saw blade designed for sizing melamine, veneered plywood, double-sided laminate panels, wood panels, plastic materials, and non-ferrous metals with clean results. Model Number: LU3A03.

What separates this blade from a general-purpose blade is the tooth geometry. Freud specifies a 96-tooth layout with a Hi-Alternate Top Bevel profile and a 2 degree hook angle, which is a setup aimed at controlled entry and cleaner top and bottom edges on delicate panel surfaces. In plain terms, it is built for finished material where chip-out costs time and money. If you are breaking down cabinet panels, furniture-grade plywood, or laminated sheets, that tooth pattern is there for a reason.

Freud also calls out Triple Chip Grind geometry for long life in production work. Combined with the brand's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide, the LU3A03 is meant to keep cutting quality up over more sheets before performance drops off. That matters in a shop environment where blade changes interrupt flow and a worn edge can ruin expensive panel stock fast.

The 12" (300 mm) diameter, 30 millimeter arbor, 3.2 millimeter kerf, and 1/16" (2.2 mm) plate put this blade squarely in the sliding table saw category, not the small jobsite saw world. It is sized for machines built to handle full sheets accurately. The listed pinhole pattern, 2/7/42 + 2/9/46.4 + 2/10/60, is another detail that matters to buyers matching the blade to a specific saw setup.

Freud's Silver I.C.E. Coating is here for jobsite and shop practicality. It reduces heat buildup, helps resist rust and corrosion, and keeps pitch from becoming as much of a problem during long cutting sessions. On panel work, heat is not just about blade life. Excess heat can hurt cut quality and make a blade feel less consistent as the day goes on.

Freud also leans on precision plate grinding, tensioning, and an anti-vibration design to keep the blade flat and stable. For panel sizing, stability is the whole game. A blade that tracks true gives you better edge finish, better fit-up, and fewer surprises when you are cutting expensive laminated material that does not forgive mistakes.

This blade makes the most sense for cabinet shops, millwork shops, production furniture work, and serious woodworkers using a sliding table saw for finish-grade sheet processing. It is also relevant for shops cutting certain plastics and non-ferrous metals on the proper saw platform. If your work is mostly rough framing lumber, this is the wrong blade. If your work is clean panel breakdown and finished sheet goods, this is exactly the kind of blade you buy on purpose.

Built for Clean Sheet Goods Work

This blade is aimed at finished panel work, not rough cutting. The high tooth count and panel-focused grind help you leave a cleaner edge on materials that tend to chip easily.

• 96-tooth design for smoother panel sizing cuts
• Hi-Alternate Top Bevel profile helps reduce chipping in melamine and veneered plywood

Runs Cooler and Stays Truer

Long production runs expose every weakness in a blade. Freud addresses that with a precision-ground plate, anti-vibration design, and Silver I.C.E. Coating to help the blade cut smoothly and resist heat buildup.

• Silver I.C.E. Coating helps reduce heat, pitch buildup, rust, and corrosion
• Precision plate grinding and tensioning help the blade stay flat and accurate over time

Made for the Right Saw Platform

The LU3A03 is not a one-blade-fits-all option. Its diameter, arbor size, kerf, and pinhole pattern are meant for sliding table saw applications where full-sheet accuracy and edge finish are the priority.

• 300 millimeter blade diameter with 30 millimeter arbor
• 1/8" (3.2 mm) kerf and listed pinhole pattern for machine-specific fitment
