Key Features

Built for Clean Panel Cuts The Freud LU2A19 300mm Carbide Tipped Saw Blade for Ripping & Crosscutting uses a 36-tooth alternate top bevel pattern with a positive 15 degree hook angle to handle both rip cuts and crosscuts in sheet goods without needing separate blades for every step. Quieter, Smoother Running Freud builds this blade with a Silent Sawblade and anti-vibration design to reduce chatter and help keep the cut tracking steady. That matters when you are sizing panels and want a cleaner edge with less fuss from the machine. Runs Cooler and Cleaner The Silver I.C.E. coating helps prevent pitch and material buildup on the blade surface. In real use, that means less heat, smoother feeding through laminates and composites, and less time cleaning the blade.

Overview

Freud LU2A19 300mm Carbide Tipped Saw Blade for Ripping & Crosscutting is a 300 mm carbide tipped circular saw blade built for cutting wooden panels and composite sheet goods. This is a carbide tipped saw blade designed for ripping and crosscutting panel materials with one blade. Model Number: LU2A19. If you run a panel saw or stationary machine that takes a 300 mm blade with a 30 mm arbor, this blade is aimed at clean sizing work in plywood, MDF, particle board, laminate, melamine, and similar stock.

The spec sheet tells you why it fits that role. A 36-tooth layout paired with an alternate top bevel grind and a positive 15 degree hook angle gives this blade a middle-ground setup for general purpose panel sizing. That combination helps it move through material efficiently while still leaving a cleaner edge than a rough framing-style blade. For shops that move between rip cuts and crosscuts on sheet goods, that saves blade changes and keeps production moving.

Freud also gives this blade the details that matter once the saw is running all day. The 1/8" (3.2 mm) kerf and 1/16" (2.2 mm) plate provide a solid, stable body for controlled cuts, and the Silent Sawblade and anti-vibration design are there for a reason. Less vibration typically means a smoother feel through the machine, less noise, and better edge quality, especially on faced panels and veneered materials where chatter shows up fast.

The Silver I.C.E. coating is not just cosmetic. It is there to reduce buildup on the blade body and help the blade run cooler and cleaner. That matters when you are cutting laminates, melamine, fiberboard, and other panel products that can leave residue behind. A cleaner blade keeps feeding more consistently and helps preserve cut quality over longer runs.

Compatibility is straightforward and important here. This Freud panel sizing blade uses a 12" (300 mm) diameter, 30 mm arbor, and the listed pinhole pattern of 2/7/42 + 2/9/46.4 + 2/10/60. That means the fit is determined by your machine, not guesswork. If your saw is set up for that blade size, arbor, and pin configuration, this is a practical general purpose choice for production cutting in wood-based sheet materials.

Who is this blade for? Cabinet shops, millwork crews, panel processors, and serious woodworkers cutting sheet goods on stationary equipment. It makes the most sense for users who need one reliable panel sizing saw blade for everyday ripping and crosscutting rather than chasing a specialized blade for every material change. If most of your work is plywood, veneered panels, MDF, chipboard, or melamine, this is right in its lane.

Made for Day-to-Day Panel Sizing

This blade is set up for the kind of work where sheet goods have to size out clean and repeatable. Instead of leaning too far toward either heavy ripping or ultra-fine finish cutting, it lands in the useful middle for general purpose panel processing.

• Designed for cutting wooden panels and composite materials
• Suitable for rip cuts and crosscuts with one 36-tooth blade

Stable Running Matters on Sheet Goods

On laminates, melamine, and veneered panels, a blade that stays smooth and runs cool gives you a better shot at clean edges and consistent feed. That is where the anti-vibration design and Silver I.C.E. coating earn their keep.

• Silent Sawblade construction helps reduce vibration and noise
• Silver I.C.E. coating helps limit buildup and heat on the blade surface

Key Specifications

Compatibility

Blade Size Fits saws that accept a 300 mm circular saw blade. Arbor Requirement Requires a 30 mm arbor. Pinhole Pattern Uses pinholes 2/7/42 + 2/9/46.4 + 2/10/60, so your machine must match this configuration. Best Machine Type Built for panel sizing and stationary saw applications handling wood panels and composite sheet goods.

Pro Tip

If you are cutting melamine, laminate, or veneered panels all day, clean the blade before buildup gets heavy. The Silver I.C.E. coating helps, but a clean coated blade will feed smoother and hold cut quality longer than one packed with resin and dust.
