Key Features

Folds for Carry These chisels fold into their handles, so you can carry them in a tool bag, apron, or pocket without exposed edges poking gear or cutting you up. Tool Steel Blades Precision tool steel blades are built for clean paring, trimming, and carpentry work where edge control matters more than bulk. Full Pocket Chisel Range The FastCap Pocket Chisel Kit gives you four common chisel sizes plus sharpening and scraping accessories, so you are not hunting for another tool mid-job.

Overview

The FastCap Pocket Chisel Kit is a folding wood chisel set built for carpenters, trim crews, punch-out work, and serious DIY users who want edge tools that are easier to carry. This is a wood chisel kit designed for trimming, fitting, scraping, and general woodworking tasks on the job or in the shop. Model Number PC-KIT. If you do hinge mortises, clean up joints, shave proud material, or need a chisel in your bag without an exposed blade, this setup makes a lot of sense.

The big story here is the folding design. Each chisel uses a heavy-duty nylon handle that locks securely in the open position, so the blade stays tucked away when you are carrying it and stays put when you are working. That matters on service calls, finish work, and remodel jobs where loose tools get thrown in totes and bags. It is a practical fix for one of the most annoying things about standard chisels: sharp edges with nowhere safe to go.

FastCap uses precision tool steel blades, and the handles are color-coded so you can grab the size you want without slowing down. In real use, that means less fumbling when you need a quarter-inch blade for tight cleanup or a one-inch blade for broader paring and hinge work. The kit covers four common sizes: 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch, which is the range most woodworkers and carpenters actually reach for.

This kit is more than just the four chisels. It also includes a pocket sharpener, a pocket file or rasp, a pocket putty knife, and a case. That gives you a compact field setup for touch-up work, scraping, and minor shaping without loading up a separate box of hand tools. For punch-list work, door hardware fitting, trim adjustments, and general carpentry cleanup, that kind of all-in-one kit saves trips back to the truck.

The FastCap Pocket Chisel Kit is built around portability and safer storage, not bench-chisel tradition. If you mainly work out of a pouch, tote, van, or job box, that design matters more than fancy presentation. The fold-in blade design helps protect the cutting edge during transport, and it helps protect everything else in the bag too. That is why these are especially appealing to remodelers, door and window installers, finish carpenters, and service trades that need compact hand tools that travel well.

For woodworking and carpentry users, this kit fits the real-world middle ground between a loose chisel tossed in a bag and a full bench set kept in the shop. It is a strong option for mobile work, trim fitting, light scraping, and carry-every-day jobsite use. If you want a compact wood chisel kit with folding handles, multiple blade sizes, and supporting accessories in one case, this is the reason the PC-KIT exists.

• Why it stands out: Folding handles, four useful chisel sizes, and the extra sharpener, file, and putty knife make it more than just a basic chisel set.
