Key Features

Fast Self-Feed Start The SPEED-TIP threaded point pulls the bit into clean wood with less pushing from the user. That means faster hole drilling and less effort when you're boring repeated holes in framing or general woodwork. Clears Chips Better The curved paddle design helps move waste out of the cut quickly. Less chip buildup helps the bit stay productive and can give cordless users more holes per charge. Built for Drivers This Diablo spade drill bit set is made for use in corded or cordless impact and drill drivers. The Impact Strong shank design focuses on stability and durability where accessory failure usually starts.

Overview

The Diablo DSP2110-P2 SPEEDemon High Speed Steel Spade Drill Bit is a 2-piece wood-boring spade bit set built for fast, clean holes in lumber and sheet goods. This is a spade drill bit designed for fast wood drilling. Model Number DSP2110-P2. If you need a 7/8 inch hole in framing lumber, plywood, or general wood stock and you want the bit to start quickly without a lot of body weight behind the drill, this is the kind of accessory that makes the job easier.

What matters most here is the SPEED-TIP self-feed point. Instead of skating around and asking you to lean hard into the tool, the threaded tip starts the hole and pulls the bit forward. On the job, that means quicker starts, less fighting the drill, and better rhythm when you're boring multiple holes for rough-in work, carpentry, or general remodeling.

Diablo also builds this bit around a curved paddle shape that is meant to move chips out of the hole faster. That matters because packed chips slow cutting, create heat, and make a drill work harder than it should. Better chip removal is one of those details that sounds small on paper but saves time when you're drilling hole after hole in wood.

The cutting edge is designed to score the wood for a cleaner finished hole with reduced blowout. For electricians, plumbers, remodelers, and framers, that means cleaner pass-through holes and less cleanup around the opening. It is still a spade bit, so it's about fast production drilling, but this one is clearly aimed at giving you a cleaner result than a basic bargain-bin paddle bit.

The high speed steel construction and Impact Strong shank design are there for durability, especially if you're running it in modern cordless tools. Diablo lists it for use in both corded and cordless impact and drill drivers, so it fits right into the tools most crews already carry. The bit is 6 inches long with a 7/8 inch diameter, giving you reach for common wood-drilling tasks without stepping up to a longer ship auger.

This set makes the most sense for tradespeople and serious DIY users who want a fast-cutting wood drill bit for repeated boring in clean wood. If your work includes framing, rough carpentry, light plumbing runs, electrical pass-throughs, or shop-built fixtures, the Diablo DSP2110-P2 SPEEDemon High Speed Steel Spade Drill Bit is a practical upgrade over generic spade bits because it starts faster, clears better, and holds up better in cordless drilling.
