It saves time when you are moving between cuts and clearing material. One hole saw covers a lot of common rough-in and installation work.

Overview

The Diablo DHS5750 5-3/4 in. Bi-Metal Hole Saw is a large-diameter hole saw built for cutting wide openings in wood, metal, plastic, drywall, and other common jobsite materials. This is a hole saw designed for boring large pass-through holes and installation openings with a drill and compatible mandrel. Model Number: DHS5750. If you need one cutter that can handle mixed materials and still give you the depth to get through in a single pass, this is the kind of accessory worth keeping in the truck.

The big selling point here is cutting depth. Diablo rates this saw at 60 mm, or 2-3/8 in., which gives you up to 40% deeper holes in one pass compared to shallower designs. On the job, that matters because it reduces the need to stop halfway through, clear chips, or finish from the other side. When you are cutting larger holes for vents, pipe runs, recessed fixtures, or access openings, fewer steps usually means a cleaner workflow and less wasted time.

This 5-3/4 in. bi-metal hole saw is built for multi-purpose cutting, not just one material. Supported applications include aluminum, duct and sheet metal, fiberglass, gypsum, PVC, plaster, steel, wood, and wood with nails. That makes it a practical choice for remodelers, HVAC installers, electricians, plumbers, and general contractors who run into changing materials in the same wall, ceiling, or assembly. Instead of swapping to a different cutter every time the material changes, this saw is designed to stay useful across a broad range of work.

Diablo also uses a variable tooth design to improve cutting speed and reduce vibration. In plain terms, that helps the saw track better and cut more smoothly, especially when you are leaning into larger-diameter holes where chatter can become a problem. Less vibration usually means better control, less wear on the tool and accessory, and a cleaner finished opening.

For day-to-day usability, the DHS5750 is made around Diablo's Snap-Lock Plus system. It requires a Diablo Snap-Lock mandrel, and that quick-change setup is one of the reasons contractors like these saws. Swapping sizes goes faster, and tool-free plug ejection helps clear the slug without fighting the cutter after every hole. If you are making repeated cuts, that convenience is not a small detail. It directly affects how quickly you can move from one opening to the next.

Fit matters too. It calls for a minimum 3/8 in. chuck size, so this is meant for drills that can properly hold and drive a larger hole saw setup. The mandrel also fits all Diablo hole saws from 5/8 in. to 6 in. diameter, which is useful if you are already in the Diablo system and want to standardize around one mandrel platform.

Who should buy it? This one makes the most sense for users cutting larger openings on a regular basis, not somebody buying a one-time-use accessory for a single small hole. If you work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, or general construction and need a 5-3/4 in. hole saw that cuts a range of materials, clears plugs quickly, and works with Diablo's quick-change setup, the Diablo DHS5750 5-3/4 in. Bi-Metal Hole Saw is a solid pick.

Built to Keep Large Hole Cuts Moving

A large hole saw needs to do more than just cut. It has to stay productive when the hole size gets bigger, the material changes, and you have multiple openings to make. That is where the deeper cutting length and quick-change system earn their keep.

• 5-3/4 in. hole saw diameter for larger openings
• 2-3/8 in. drilling depth for deeper one-pass cuts
• Bi-metal construction for multi-material cutting
• Variable tooth design for faster cuts with less vibration
