Clean Non-Ferrous Cuts The Triple Chip Grind tooth pattern is built for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, helping you get cleaner, burr-free cuts with less cleanup afterward. Built for Thick Aluminum This Diablo saw blade is optimized for thick aluminum wall sections from 3/16 in. to 7/16 in., so it is a better fit for heavier stock than a general-purpose blade. Longer Blade Life TiCo high-density carbide, Tri-Metal brazing, laser-cut stabilizer vents, and Perma-Shield coating all work together to resist heat, vibration, gumming, and impact.

Overview

The Diablo D1272N 12-in. x 72-Teeth Saw Blade for Thick Aluminum is a 12-inch circular saw blade made for cutting thick aluminum and other non-ferrous materials with a 12-inch miter or slide miter saw. This is a circular saw blade designed for clean, controlled non-ferrous metal cutting. Model Number: D1272N.

What matters here is the tooth design. This blade uses a 72-tooth Triple Chip Grind layout, which is the right style for aluminum cutting when you want a smoother finish and less burr on the edge. That means less time cleaning up cuts on aluminum extrusions, plate, copper, brass, plastics, and fiberglass.

Diablo built this blade around its TiCo super-density micro-grain carbide, which is meant to hold an edge longer in metal-cutting work than standard carbide. On the job, that translates to more consistent cuts and slower wear when you are repeatedly cutting tougher non-ferrous stock instead of soft wood.

The D1272N is also set up for durability. Tri-Metal shock-resistant brazing helps the teeth stand up to impact, while laser-cut stabilizer vents help cut down vibration and noise. That matters because a steadier blade tracks better through the material and helps keep the cut cleaner.

Diablo adds its Perma-Shield non-stick coating to help fight heat, gumming, and corrosion. That is especially useful when you are working with aluminum and similar materials that can load up a blade over time. Less buildup means the blade keeps cutting more freely and stays easier to maintain.

From a fitment standpoint, this blade has a 12-inch diameter and a 1-inch arbor, and it is intended for 12-inch miter and slide miter saws. It is optimized for thick aluminum wall thickness from 3/16 inch to 7/16 inch, while also covering thinner and medium aluminum ranges called out by Diablo.

This blade makes the most sense for metal fabricators, finish crews working with aluminum trim, sign installers, remodelers, and serious DIY users who need cleaner cuts in non-ferrous material without beating up a general-purpose blade. If your work includes aluminum stock and you want cut quality, durability, and less rework, this is the kind of blade you buy on purpose.

Made for Smoother Aluminum Cutting

If you are cutting aluminum on a miter saw, tooth geometry and blade stability matter more than flashy claims. This blade is built to leave a cleaner edge and hold up better in repeated non-ferrous metal cutting.

• 72-tooth Triple Chip Grind layout for burr-reducing cuts
• Maximum speed rating of 5,000 RPM
• Laser-cut stabilizer vents help reduce vibration
