Key Features

Faster PEX Clamping Manual pinch clamp work gets old fast. This attachment uses your impact driver to deliver up to 6x faster clamps, which matters when you have a full run of PEX to finish. Less Hand Fatigue The DEWALT DWAPXPIR impact attachment cuts pinching effort to less than 1% compared to hand-tool clamping. That means less strain on long plumbing days and easier repeat work overhead or in tight framing. Tight-Space Access Built to fit in a standard joist bay and rotate 360 degrees, this pinch clamp attachment is made for real plumbing rough-ins where straight-on access is not happening.

Overview

The DEWALT DWAPXPIR IMPACT CONNECT PEX Pinch Clamp Attachment is a plumbing attachment built for impact drivers. This is a pinch clamp attachment designed for fastening stainless steel PEX pinch clamps on PEX-B pipe. Model Number: DWAPXPIR. If you already carry an impact driver on the job, this setup lets you turn that tool into a faster, lower-effort option for repetitive plumbing clamp work.

What makes this attachment worth a look is simple: speed and reduced effort. DEWALT rates it at up to 6x faster clamping with less than 1% pinching effort compared to a hand tool in its stated test conditions. On a one-off repair, that is nice. On a whole rough-in, that is a real time saver. Instead of squeezing a manual tool over and over, the attachment uses the power of your existing impact driver to do the work.

The DWAPXPIR is built around DEWALT's IMPACT CONNECT system, so setup is meant to be quick instead of turning into another job. The Quick-Change brace system lets you attach the unit in seconds and switch back to driving screws when the plumbing portion is done. That matters for remodelers, service plumbers, and general contractors who bounce between trades and do not want another standalone powered tool taking up room.

Capacity is broad enough to cover common pinch clamp jobs, with support for 3/8 inch to 1 inch pinch rings. That range makes it useful for everything from smaller branch lines to larger supply runs. DEWALT also calls out all-metal internal mechanisms for durability and consistent crimp performance, plus a completion indicator that turns green when a pinch is complete. That gives you a simple visual confirmation instead of guessing whether the clamp is fully finished.

Jobsite access is another strong point here. The attachment is designed to fit in a standard joist bay and includes 360 degree rotation for better approach angles around studs, bays, and other framing obstacles. That is exactly where manual clamping can get awkward fast. The assembled product length is 11.5 inches, which helps keep the tool manageable when you are working between framing members or reaching around pipe runs.

Compatibility is one of the bigger selling points. DEWALT says the attachment works with select DEWALT 20V MAX and other pro-grade 18V impact drivers, with optimized performance on models including DCF840, DCF845, DCF850, DCF860 on setting 2, DCF870, DCF885, DCF887, and DCF888. It is also listed as compatible with select impact drivers from CRAFTSMAN, BOSCH, FLEX, KOBALT, MAKITA, METABO, and MILWAUKEE. The impact driver and battery are sold separately, so this is best for users who already own a compatible driver platform.

In practical terms, this tool is for plumbers, remodelers, maintenance crews, and serious DIY users who work with stainless steel PEX pinch clamps and want a faster way to get through repetitive clamping. It is not a general PEX ring crimp tool and it is not meant for every fitting style. If your work centers on pinch clamps and you already run a compatible impact driver, the DEWALT DWAPXPIR IMPACT CONNECT PEX Pinch Clamp Attachment is a smart way to get more out of the tools you already carry.

Move Faster on PEX Rough-Ins

If you are making clamp after clamp in framed walls, the time savings add up fast. This impact driver attachment is built to speed up pinch clamp installation without beating up your hands the way manual tools can.

• Up to 6x faster clamps in DEWALT's stated testing
• Less than 1% pinching effort compared to a hand tool in the same test setup
• Works with 3/8 inch to 1 inch pinch rings for a broad range of plumbing tasks

Better Access Between Studs

This is where the attachment earns its keep. It is designed for standard joist-bay access and gives you 360 degree rotation, so you can come at clamps from angles that are a pain with larger hand tools.

• Fits in a standard joist bay for tight plumbing installs
• 360 degree rotation helps line up the tool around framing and pipe runs
• Completion indicator turns green when the pinch is complete

Uses the Impact Driver You Already Own

The whole point of the IMPACT CONNECT platform is getting more done without carrying another powered specialty tool. Attach it, clamp your pipe, then switch back to driving fasteners when the job changes.

• Quick-Change brace system attaches in seconds
• Optimized for select DEWALT 20V MAX impact drivers
• Also compatible with select other pro-grade 18V impact drivers
