82 Degree Versatility The 82 degree tip handles countersink work in metal, wood, and plastic, so you can move between materials without swapping to a different style of bit. High-Speed Steel Build High-speed steel construction with a corrosion-resistant black and gold coating is built for longer bit life on demanding drilling jobs. DeWALT Countersink Set This 5-piece countersink set covers the common sizes from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch and uses a rounded shank that fits handheld and stationary drills.

Overview

The DeWALT DWAMDB5SETCS Metal Countersink Set is a 5-piece countersink drill bit set built for drilling clean countersinks in metal, wood, and plastic. This is a countersink drill bit set designed for creating recessed screw seats and finishing drilled holes with a clean chamfer. Model Number: DWAMDB5SETCS. If you need the common countersink sizes in one pack instead of piecing them together one at a time, this set covers the basics in a straightforward way.

The big selling point here is the 82 degree tip geometry. That angle makes the set useful across a wide range of countersink applications, especially when you are moving between sheet metal work, wood projects, and general fabrication. Instead of being locked into one material type, you get a set that can handle everyday drilling and countersinking tasks in the shop or on site.

DeWALT built these bits from high-speed steel, which matters because countersink bits see a lot of friction at the cutting edge. High-speed steel gives the set the durability needed for repeated use, and the black and gold corrosion-resistant coating helps fight rust while also reducing the wear that comes from regular jobsite handling. For anyone who throws accessories in a drill case, gang box, or drawer, that added corrosion resistance is worth having.

The 5-flute design is another practical detail. More flutes help the bit cut smoothly and keep vibration down during drilling, which makes it easier to control the cut and produce a cleaner finish. That is especially useful when you are trying to avoid chatter in metal or keep a wood surface from looking rough around the edge of the countersink.

Fit is simple too. The rounded shank is made to work in both handheld drills and stationary drills, so you are not boxed into one setup. Use a cordless or corded drill when you need portability, or drop the bit into a drill press when you want more controlled, repeatable countersinks. That flexibility makes the set a good match for maintenance crews, metalworkers, woodworkers, remodelers, and serious DIY users who want one set that covers the common sizes.

DeWALT includes five sizes in the box: 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, and 3/4 inch. That range gives you a practical spread for everyday countersink work without overloading the kit with filler sizes you may never touch. If your work regularly involves drilling and finishing holes in mixed materials, this set makes a lot of sense.

Built for Real Metal Drilling Work

This set is not limited to bench-top hobby work. The high-speed steel construction is made for demanding drilling jobs, and the countersink profile is well suited for finishing holes in metal where a cleaner seat and smoother edge matter.

• High-speed steel construction for durability
• Corrosion-resistant black and gold coating helps fight rust

Smoother Cuts With Less Chatter

The 5-flute design is there for a reason. It helps the bit drill more smoothly and reduces excessive vibration, which gives you better control and a cleaner finished countersink.
