Key Features

Up to 55 Minutes Longer runtime means fewer stops when you are trimming fence lines, beds, and property edges. On low speed with the included 5.0Ah battery, this setup is built to cover typical yard work on one charge. Brushless Efficiency The brushless motor gives the trimmer solid cutting performance with less maintenance than a brushed design. That matters when you want steady power without adding extra upkeep. Foldable String Trimmer The folding hinge makes transport and storage a lot easier than a full-length straight shaft trimmer. If garage space is tight, this is one of the features that really moves the needle.

Overview

The DeWALT DCST926P1 20V MAX Brushless Cordless Foldable String Trimmer Kit is a battery-powered outdoor power tool built for trimming grass and light overgrowth around homes, walkways, trees, fences, and landscape edges. This is a string trimmer designed for property maintenance and routine yard cleanup. Model Number: DCST926P1. For homeowners and serious DIY users who want cordless convenience without giving up working runtime, this kit makes a strong case because it includes the trimmer, battery, and charger in one package.

The core performance story here is simple: you get a high-efficiency brushless motor, variable-speed control, and an adjustable 13 inch to 15 inch cutting swath. That lets you manage the tradeoff between runtime and cutting coverage depending on the job. Run low speed when you are cleaning up lighter growth and want to stretch battery life. Step up to high speed when the grass is thicker or the area is more overgrown and you need extra cutting power.

One of the better real-world features on this DeWALT string trimmer is the folding hinge. Full-length straight shaft trimmers can be awkward to haul in a vehicle or stash in a crowded garage. This one folds to save space and makes transport less of a headache, especially if you keep outdoor tools in a small shed, closet, or shared garage bay. DeWALT states the folded tool is 40% shorter in storage position, which is a practical benefit, not just a line on a spec sheet.

The design also leans into comfort. DeWALT calls out a balanced, ergonomic layout to help reduce user fatigue during longer trimming sessions. That matters with a straight shaft trimmer because reach and weight distribution affect how the tool feels after twenty or thirty minutes, not just the first five. The variable-speed trigger also helps here by letting you match output to the task instead of running at full power all the time.

For upkeep, the QUICKLOAD spool head is another smart jobsite-style feature for lawn care work. Reloading line is one of those little chores that can waste more time than it should. A quick-load head helps you get back to trimming faster when the line runs out. The trimmer also uses a bump feed line advance system and is paired with a recommended .095 inch line diameter, which is a common size for this class of cordless string trimmer.

As a kit, this model ships with one 20V MAX battery and charger, and the included battery is listed as a 5.0Ah lithium-ion pack. That gives the DeWALT DCST926P1 20V MAX Brushless Cordless Foldable String Trimmer Kit immediate out-of-box usability for buyers who are not already on the platform. If you already own DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, the compatibility is a plus because the tool is part of the DEWALT 20V MAX system.

This trimmer is best suited for homeowners, property maintenance, and DIY users who want a cordless straight shaft trimmer with solid runtime, easier storage, and less maintenance than gas equipment. If your priority is routine grass trimming, edging along obstacles, and keeping a yard in shape without mixing fuel or pulling a starter cord, this is a practical buy. If you are clearing heavy brush all day on large commercial properties, you would likely want to step into a heavier-duty platform, but for everyday residential trimming this kit is well thought out.

Runtime That Covers Routine Yard Work

For most home maintenance jobs, runtime is what decides whether a cordless string trimmer feels convenient or frustrating. This one is built to keep moving through cleanup work without constant battery swaps.

• Up to 55 minutes of no-load runtime per charge on low speed using the included 5.0Ah battery
• Variable-speed trigger lets you save battery on lighter trimming and step up power when growth gets thicker

Better Balance Means Less Fatigue

A string trimmer can have good specs on paper and still wear you out if the layout is awkward. DeWALT built this one with a balanced ergonomic design to keep longer sessions more manageable.

• Straight shaft layout gives reach around beds, trees, and hardscape edges
• Balanced design helps reduce strain during repeated passes around the yard

Storage and Reloading Are Easier Than Usual

Small details make a cordless trimmer easier to live with. The folding hinge cuts down storage length, and the QUICKLOAD spool head helps reduce downtime when it is time to reload line.

• Folding design makes the tool 40% shorter when folded for storage
• QUICKLOAD spool head and bump feed system help keep line changes and line advance simple
