Rotary Hammer Capacity The DeWalt DCH133B 20V Max Brushless 1 inch D-Handle Rotary Hammer is built for concrete drilling and light chipping work where a standard drill starts to fall behind. Brushless Motor A brushless setup is the right call for a cordless rotary hammer because it is built to deliver efficient power with less maintenance than brushed designs. 20V Max Platform Running on the DeWalt 20V Max battery platform makes this a practical choice for users already invested in DeWalt cordless tools and batteries.

Overview

The DeWalt DCH133B 20V Max Brushless 1 inch D-Handle Rotary Hammer is a cordless rotary hammer built for drilling into concrete, block, and masonry. This is a rotary hammer designed for masonry drilling and light-duty chipping. Model Number: DCH133B. If you need more punch than a hammer drill but want to stay on a battery platform instead of dragging out a cord, this is the kind of tool that makes sense.

The 1 inch class tells you where this tool fits. It is sized for common anchor holes, fastening work in masonry, and general jobsite drilling where speed and mobility matter. The D-handle layout gives you a familiar grip and solid control when you are boring overhead, drilling at awkward angles, or working through repetitive holes in concrete and block.

The brushless motor matters here because a rotary hammer puts real demand on the drive system. Brushless tools are a better fit for that kind of work since they are designed to run efficiently and hold up well in regular use. For contractors and serious DIY users already running DeWalt cordless gear, the 20V Max platform also keeps battery management simple.

This version is sold as a tool only configuration, which is worth paying attention to before you buy. It is a smart option for users who already own compatible DeWalt 20V Max batteries and chargers and want to add a dedicated concrete drilling tool without paying for duplicate power packs.

In real use, this type of rotary hammer fills the gap between a general-purpose drill and a larger demolition-focused hammer. It is the right choice when the job calls for drilled holes in cured concrete, masonry fastening, or repeated overhead anchor work where a standard drill would be slower and harder on both the tool and the user.

Who should buy it? Electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, remodelers, maintenance crews, and general contractors who need a cordless masonry drilling solution will get the most from it. If most of your work is wood and metal, a drill driver or hammer drill is the better fit. If your day regularly includes concrete anchors and masonry penetrations, the DeWalt DCH133B 20V Max Brushless 1 inch D-Handle Rotary Hammer is the more appropriate tool.
