500 MCM AL Size This DeWALT DCE15115 500 MCM AL Bushing is sized for 500 MCM aluminum cable, so you are matching the stripper setup to the cable you actually run instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all setup. Quick Release Fit The quick-release design connects fast to the DCE151 XR cordless cable stripper, which cuts setup time when you are moving between cable sizes on the job. Laser Etched Marking The size marking is laser etched for quick identification, so you can grab the right cable stripper bushing faster and keep mistakes out of the workflow.

Overview

The DeWALT DCE15115 500 MCM AL Bushing is a quick-release cable stripper bushing made for the DeWALT DCE151 XR cordless cable stripper. This is a cable stripper bushing designed for stripping 500 MCM aluminum cable with the correct fit for the tool. Model Number: DCE15115. If you already own the DCE151 platform, this is the size-specific insert that lets the tool work properly with the cable you are actually handling.

What matters here is fit. Cable stripping tools only work well when the bushing matches the cable size and material. In this case, the DCE15115 is built around 500 MCM aluminum cable, which helps the stripper track the cable correctly during cutting and reduces the guesswork that comes with trying to make the wrong size work. That means cleaner prep, less wasted jacket, and a more repeatable result when you are doing electrical work in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

DeWALT uses a quick-release style on these DCE151 bushings, and that is a real time-saver if you switch between cable sizes through the day. Instead of dragging out a slow changeover process, you can swap bushings quickly and keep moving. For contractors and electricians who handle different wire sizes on the same project, that convenience matters more than it sounds on paper.

The laser-etched size marking is another small feature that earns its keep. When you have multiple bushings in the gang box or on the cart, being able to identify the right one fast helps avoid putting the wrong accessory in the tool. On jobs where speed matters, simple stuff like clear size markings keeps the work flowing and helps prevent unnecessary rework.

DeWALT also notes a replaceable cutting blade as part of the bushing system. That matters because accessories like this are wear items over time, especially in regular cable prep work. A replaceable blade helps keep the stripping action consistent without treating the whole bushing like a throwaway part once the cutting edge is spent.

Compatibility is straightforward. The DCE15115 is part of the DeWALT quick-release bushing lineup for the DCE151 XR cordless cable stripper. DeWALT offers these bushings in multiple sizes, and bushing selection depends on cable brand as well as cable size and material. In other words, this is not a generic wire stripper accessory. It is a system-specific part for the DCE151 platform, and that is exactly how it should be bought.

This accessory makes the most sense for electricians, utility work, panel builders, and serious contractors already using the DeWALT DCE151 cordless cable stripper for cable prep. If you need a 500 MCM aluminum cable stripper bushing that changes fast, is easy to identify, and is built to work inside the DeWALT stripping system, this is the right kind of accessory. If you do not own the DCE151 tool, this part by itself will not do the job.
