Key Features

Controlled Cuts The rail is built to guide your track saw cleanly and predictably, which matters when you are working on finish parts, cabinet pieces, or any cut where wandering costs time and material. 30-Inch Reach This DEWALT track saw guide rail is sized for compact work and detail cuts, giving you the control of a track system without wrestling a long rail on small parts or in tight spaces. Dual-Sided Rail Both sides of the rail are usable, so you do not have to stop and rotate it on the workpiece. That keeps the workflow moving when you are making repeated precision cuts.

Overview

The DEWALT DWS5130 30 in. Track Saw Track with Guide Rail is a saw accessory built to give the DEWALT DCS525 plunge track saw accurate guidance on shorter cuts and smaller workpieces. This is a track saw guide rail designed for precise straight cutting in cabinet work, finish carpentry, remodeling, and woodworking. Model Number: DWS5130. If you need track-saw accuracy but do not want the extra length of a full-size rail on compact jobs, this is the one to look at.

What makes this rail useful is not just the fact that it is 30 inches long. That shorter length is the point. On small panels, trim parts, shelves, fillers, and detail pieces, a long guide rail can feel awkward and slow you down. The DWS5130 keeps the setup manageable while still giving you the controlled tracking that makes a plunge track saw worth using in the first place.

DEWALT calls out smooth performance and controlled tracking during cuts, and that is exactly what buyers care about here. A good guide rail helps the saw stay on line, reduces the chance of drift, and makes it easier to repeat clean results. For cabinet installers and finish carpenters, that means better edge quality and fewer corrections after the cut. For remodelers, it means more confidence when working in a tight room or on a bench with limited space.

The dual-sided rail design is another practical feature. Both sides of the rail can be used, so you do not need to keep rotating the rail on the workpiece to stay productive. That sounds simple, but it matters when you are moving through repeated cuts and trying to keep your layout, clamps, and parts organized. Less handling usually means faster work and fewer chances to bump the setup out of position.

This is an unpowered accessory, so there is no battery, charger, or motor to think about. Its job is straightforward: provide reliable saw guidance as part of a DEWALT track saw workflow. It is specifically listed for use with the DEWALT DCS525 Plunge Track Saw, which makes the compatibility story clear. If you are already running that saw, the DWS5130 adds a compact rail option that fits the system without forcing you into a one-size-fits-all setup.

Build-wise, this is meant for daily use in real shop and jobsite conditions. DEWALT positions it as durable construction for heavy-duty environments, and for a guide rail that matters because straightness, surface condition, and consistent saw engagement are what keep the cuts clean over time. A rail like this is not flashy, but it is one of those accessories that makes the main tool work the way it should.

The best buyer for the DEWALT DWS5130 30 in. Track Saw Track with Guide Rail is someone doing finish-focused cutting where control matters more than maximum length. Cabinet installers, professional woodworkers, finish carpenters, and remodelers will get the most from it. Serious DIY users working on built-ins, shelving, or furniture parts can also benefit, especially if they already own the DCS525 and want a shorter rail that is easier to manage on smaller material.
