Key Features

Deep 18 mm Reach This deep impact socket gives you the reach needed for longer studs and recessed fasteners, so you can get onto the nut cleanly without fighting for engagement. 6-Point Grip The 6-point design with DirectTorque-style geometry helps reduce fastener rounding by putting load where it belongs instead of chewing up the corners. Easy to Handle A knurled control ring gives you better grip when starting or swapping the socket by hand, which matters when your gloves are dusty or oily.

Overview

The DeWalt DWMT75127OSP 6 Point 1/2 in. Drive Deep Impact Socket 18 mm is a single deep impact socket built for driving and removing 18 millimeter fasteners with a 1/2 inch square drive impact tool or ratchet. This is a deep impact socket designed for fastening and loosening recessed or extended-reach fasteners. Model Number: DWMT75127OSP.

What matters here is the combination of a deep profile, 6-point opening, and impact-ready construction. The deep length gives you room for longer bolts and studs, while the 18 mm size targets a common metric fastener size used in automotive work, equipment service, and general mechanical repair. The 6-point design is the right call when you want better contact on stubborn hardware instead of risking rounded corners.

DeWalt also calls out DirectTorque technology, which is there for a practical reason: it helps the socket load the flat sides of the fastener more effectively. On the job, that means a better chance of breaking loose tight hardware without damaging it. If you work on suspension, brackets, machinery, or structural fasteners, that detail matters more than flashy packaging.

The knurled control ring is another useful touch. A lot of sockets are fine once they are on the anvil, but annoying to handle by hand. The added grip helps when you are starting the socket onto the fastener or pulling it from a drawer with greasy hands. The hard-stamped markings are also worth having because size identification tends to wear off on frequently used sockets, especially in shop environments.

The beveled open end helps guide the socket onto the fastener a little faster. That may sound minor, but it saves time when you are moving through repeated fastening work or trying to get onto a nut in a less-than-perfect position. For mechanics and techs, small usability details like that add up over a full day.

This DeWalt deep impact socket is a strong fit for automotive users, mechanics, maintenance crews, and serious DIYers who need a dedicated 18 mm impact socket instead of a generic set piece that is hard to identify and easy to lose. If 18 mm is one of the sizes you reach for regularly, buying the DeWalt DWMT75127OSP 6 Point 1/2 in. Drive Deep Impact Socket 18 mm as a single replacement or add-on makes a lot of sense.
