Key Features

Universal Meter Fit These leads are built to plug into digital multimeters, clamp meters, and fork meters, so you can replace worn leads without chasing a tool-specific set. Built for High-Rated Testing Rated up to 1,000 volts and 10 amps, the Milwaukee 49-77-1003 Electrical Test Leads are made for serious electrical testing work where safety ratings matter. Flexible PVC Jacket Flexible PVC insulation helps the leads stay manageable in the hand and less annoying to route around panels, equipment, and tight access points.

Overview

Milwaukee 49-77-1003 Electrical Test Leads are replacement electrical test leads for electricians, service techs, and anyone using a compatible meter for troubleshooting and measurement work. This is an electrical test lead set designed for voltage, current, and resistance measurement with compatible meters. Model Number 49-77-1003. If your existing leads are worn out, stiff, or not rated for the work you do, this set gives you a straightforward Milwaukee replacement.

The big thing here is compatibility. Milwaukee states these universal connecting test leads plug into digital multimeters, clamp meters, and fork meters. That matters because test leads are not the place to get stuck with oddball connections or limited use. If you rotate between different meter styles on the job, a universal lead set saves time and keeps your testing setup simple.

On the rating side, these leads are built for up to 1,000 volts and 10 amps, with a safety category rating of CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V. Those numbers are what separate basic replacement leads from leads meant for real electrical work. For panel work, service calls, and general diagnostic use, those ratings tell you these are intended for serious measurement tasks, not light-duty hobby use.

Milwaukee also uses flexible PVC insulation and lists the leads as UL approved. In practical terms, that means the jacket is built to stay workable while giving you a durable outer layer that holds up to repeated handling. Good leads need to move without fighting you, especially when you're reaching into equipment, working around obstructions, or packing them in and out of a meter bag all day.

These leads are also part of a broader Milwaukee electrical testing setup. Milwaukee specifically calls out use with the 49-77-1004 Industrial Test Probes and 49-77-1005 Industrial Alligator Clips. That gives you some flexibility depending on the task. Use probes when you need direct point contact and switch to alligator clips when you want a more secure hands-free connection during measurement.

Who should buy this set? Anyone replacing damaged leads on a compatible multimeter, clamp meter, or fork meter, especially electricians, maintenance techs, HVAC service techs, and industrial troubleshooting crews. If you need a Milwaukee lead set with proper voltage and category ratings, this is the kind of accessory that matters because it directly affects safety, reliability, and how smoothly your meter works in the field.

Reliable Connections for Daily Testing

Test leads take a beating. When the insulation gets stiff or the connections start feeling questionable, replacing them is cheap insurance compared to bad readings or wasted diagnostic time.
