Key Features

SawStop SafetyThe blade brake system stops the spinning blade on contact with skin in less than 5 milliseconds and drops it below the table. That is the feature that makes this cabinet saw different from almost everything else in the shop. 3 HP DriveThe 3 horsepower, 230 volt, 13 amp motor gives this table saw the muscle for ripping hardwood, sheet goods, and dado work without feeling underpowered. T-Glide AccuracyThe 36 inch Professional T-Glide Fence System is built for smooth travel, precise measurement, and solid lockup. When the fence stays put, your cuts stay on line.

Overview

The SawStop PCS31230-TGP236 220V Single Phase 3-HP 13-Amp 10" Professional Cabinet Saw with 36" Professional Series T-Glide Fence System is a full-size stationary cabinet saw built for serious woodworking shops that want clean, repeatable cuts and a much higher level of injury protection. This is a cabinet table saw designed for precision ripping, crosscutting, and dado cutting in furniture work, cabinetry, trim production, and general shop use. Model Number: PCS31230-TGP236.

The headline feature is still the SawStop Safety System. If skin contacts the blade, the system stops it in less than 5 milliseconds and drops it below the table. That matters because this is not just a powerful 10 inch table saw, it is a machine built to keep a bad day from turning into a life-changing injury. SawStop backs that safety system with an on-board computer and control box that constantly checks system status while you work.

Power is handled by a 3 HP, single-phase, 230V motor drawing 13 amps. In plain terms, that gives the SawStop Professional Cabinet Saw the extra push needed for ripping thick hardwood, running an 8 inch dado stack, and keeping feed speed up in real shop work. Maximum depth of cut is 3-1/8 inches at 0 degrees and 2-1/4 inches at 45 degrees, so it has the range expected from a shop-grade cabinet saw.

The 36 inch Professional T-Glide Fence System is a big part of why this saw earns its reputation. Fence quality is one of those things you notice every time you make a setup, and a bad one wastes time all day long. Here, the fence is built for smooth movement, easy reading, and solid lock-down without deflection. Rip capacity to the right of the blade is 36-1/2 inches with the 36 inch fence setup, and you still get 12-1/2 inches to the left of the blade.

SawStop also put the work into the machine underneath the top. The trunnion and arbor are built for strength, stability, and accurate adjustment. Table flatness is measured diagonally at a maximum 0.010 inch gap, arbor runout is kept to a 0.001 inch maximum allowable runout, and blade alignment with the miter slot is held to a 0.010 inch maximum displacement. Those numbers matter because they tell you this cabinet saw was built for straight cuts, cleaner joinery, and less time chasing setup issues.

Dust control is another strong point. The main cabinet uses a 4 inch dust collection port, and on 3 HP models this saw includes a dust collection blade guard for above-table collection. SawStop also notes advanced shrouding around the blade, and an available overarm dust collection accessory can route dust away from the cut into the 4 inch port. For a shop saw that will spend long days cutting hardwood and sheet goods, better dust control means better visibility, less cleanup, and a healthier workspace.

Build quality is what separates a cabinet saw from lighter-duty options, and this one shows it. The cabinet, cast iron work surface, cast iron extension wings, cast iron hand wheels, and belt-driven arbor system are all aimed at smooth operation and long-term durability. The assembled weight with the 36 inch fence system is listed at 426 lbs, and the saw body alone is listed at 335 lbs, so this is firmly in the heavy stationary class. That weight helps keep vibration down and stability up when the workpiece gets big.

Accessory and setup flexibility are solid. The saw runs a 10 inch blade with a 5/8 inch arbor and can accept up to an 8 inch dado set with a maximum width of 29/32 inch, provided you use the required dado brake cartridge and insert. It also includes the fence assembly, rails, extension table, riving knife, brake cartridge, blade, blade wrenches, miter gauge, push stick, and setup hardware. That means you are not starting from scratch when the crate lands.

Who should buy it? Woodworkers, cabinet shops, furniture builders, school or community shops, and serious home shop users who want cabinet saw performance without stepping all the way into an industrial machine. If you care about cut quality, fence consistency, and the added confidence of SawStop safety technology, this is the kind of table saw you buy once and build a shop around.

Built Around Safer Cutting

This is the kind of cabinet saw you buy when safety is part of performance, not a separate conversation. The SawStop system is the reason many shops move up to this machine in the first place.

• Patented safety system stops the blade in less than 5 milliseconds on skin contact
• Control box and onboard computer continuously monitor system status
• Riving knife and blade guard setup support safer, more controlled cutting

Cleaner Cuts With Better Dust Control

Good dust collection is not just about cleanup. It helps you see the cut line, keeps the work area clearer, and makes a long day in the shop a lot easier to live with.

• 4 inch main dust port supports standard shop dust collection hookups
• 3 HP models include a dust collection blade guard for above-table collection
• Advanced blade shrouding improves below-table dust capture

Easy Adjustments That Stay Accurate

A cabinet saw should feel solid when you dial in blade height and angle. This one uses heavy hardware and precision parts so setup changes are smooth instead of frustrating.

• 7 inch cast iron hand wheels with chrome handles for positive adjustment feel
• Blade tilt is left-tilting for common fence-side cutting preferences
• Gas piston assisted elevation is designed for smoother adjustment

Fence Travel You Can Trust

The fence is where a lot of table saws either earn your trust or lose it. The T-Glide setup on this SawStop is built to move smoothly, read clearly, and lock down without wandering.

• 36 inch Professional T-Glide Fence System included
• 36-1/2 inch max rip capacity to the right of the blade
• 12-1/2 inch max rip capacity to the left of the blade
