Tight-Space Control The sealed head, accessible forward and reverse switch, trigger lock, and built-in LED are all there for real under-hood and cramped-access work. The 5Ah battery's onboard charge indicator lets you check remaining power before you drop into an engine bay or tight mechanical space.

Overview

This bundle pairs the DEWALT DCF520B 20V MAX XR Brushless 1/4-in. & 3/8-in. Sealed Head Ratchet with the DEWALT DCB205 20V MAX 5Ah Battery giving you a compact cordless ratchet for tight-access fastening work and the runtime to get through a full day of service calls without a battery swap. Model Number: DCF520B. A charger is not included; this bundle is designed for users already on the DEWALT 20V MAX platform with a compatible charger on hand.

The DCF520B ratchet is built around access and speed. DEWALT rates it at up to 450 RPM with up to 50 ft-lbs of max torque fast enough to get through repeated bolts efficiently, with enough force for stubborn hardware on service and maintenance work. The sealed head design is built for places where clearance is limited and grime is part of the job: engine bays, behind installed equipment, inside cabinets and mechanical spaces where a bulkier tool slows you down. The forward and reverse switch is positioned for easier direction changes in tight spots, and the trigger lock helps prevent accidental activation when the tool is tucked into a cramped work area or riding in a bag.

The interchangeable anvil system adds real versatility. All three anvils 3/8 inch square drive, 1/4 inch square drive, and 1/4 inch low-profile hex are included in the box, so you can match the tool to the fastener and the space without reaching for a second ratchet. The variable speed trigger keeps control over fastener run-down, and the built-in LED helps light the work surface without juggling a separate light. The brushless motor delivers efficient power with less maintenance than a brushed design.

The DCB205 5Ah battery is the right match for a ratchet used hard through repeated fastening cycles. Five amp hours of capacity means more work per charge than lower-capacity packs, fewer interruptions, and better workflow when the job pace does not leave room for constant charging. The built-in LED state-of-charge indicator lets you check battery level before climbing under a vehicle, heading into a mechanical room, or starting a long run of fasteners so you know where you stand before you commit to the task. At 1.5 lbs, it is a practical size for a tool that often gets used overhead or at awkward angles. Charge time is approximately 1.5 hours on a compatible 20V MAX charger.

Both tools are part of the DEWALT 20V MAX cordless platform. The DCB205 battery works with DEWALT 20V MAX tools and chargers across the lineup, so it earns its keep across everything else you already run drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, and lights not just this ratchet.

Who should buy it? Mechanics, automotive techs, MRO crews, HVAC installers, industrial maintenance users, and serious DIYers who spend real time around bolts and tight access points and want a cordless ratchet backed by enough battery capacity to work through a full day without stopping.

Built to Reach Tight Fasteners

The sealed head layout is the reason to look at this ratchet if clearance is always working against you. It is set up for places where a bulkier tool or a standard ratchet slows you down and the 5Ah battery keeps it running through a full shift of service work without demanding a swap mid-job.

• Sealed head design for access in cramped work zones
• Forward and reverse switch positioned for easier direction changes in tight spots
• Up to 50 ft-lbs of max torque for stubborn bolts and repeated fastening tasks
• 5Ah capacity keeps the ratchet in service longer between charges
• LED state-of-charge indicator check before you drop into an engine bay or mechanical space

Pro Tip

If you are working where a socket setup adds too much bulk, switch to the included 1/4 inch low-profile hex anvil it is the better setup when access is tighter than the fastener itself. Check the DCB205's state-of-charge indicator before you drop into a cramped engine bay or mechanical space. With 5Ah behind the ratchet, you should have plenty of runtime for a full service call, but knowing where the battery stands before you start saves you from a mid-job interruption in a spot where getting back out takes time.

Warranty & Support

DCB205 5Ah battery backed by DEWALT's 3-year limited warranty, 1-year free service, and 90-day satisfaction guarantee. Ratchet warranty per DEWALT's standard 20V MAX tool coverage.
