Overview

The Vessel 238HWB-7PU Impact & Out Screwdriver & 7PC. Bit Set is a manual impact screwdriver kit built for removing stubborn fasteners. This is a manual impact screwdriver set designed for screw removal and damaged fastener extraction. Model 238HWB-7PU gives you a compact impact handle and a group of job-ready bits for common Phillips, slotted, and Torx screws.

What makes this set different is the way it works under pressure. Instead of just leaning harder on a stuck screw and hoping the tip holds, the driver is made to be struck with a hammer. According to the product packaging, the blade turns 12 degrees counterclockwise when hit, which helps shock the fastener loose while also applying turning force. In plain terms, that means better odds of getting a seized screw out without completely destroying the head.

Vessel also includes a useful mix of bits rather than padding the set with filler. You get six screwdriver bits for common fastener styles and one dedicated screw remover bit. That gives this kit real value for mechanics, maintenance techs, machine repair work, electrical enclosures, equipment service, and general teardown work where you can run into different screw types in the same job.

The handle design matters here too. The driver body is compact at about 4-1/8 inches overall length, so it is easier to work in tighter spaces than a longer shop impact driver. The textured grip sections give you something solid to hold while lining up the bit and keeping downward pressure on the screw. That kind of control is important with damaged heads because if the bit walks out once, the job usually gets harder fast.

This set is also built around JIS Drive for all screws, which is a real plus for anyone who works on Japanese equipment, motorcycles, electronics housings, or imported machinery where screw fit can be more particular than standard hardware-store fasteners. Better fit at the screw head usually means less cam-out and less chance of chewing up the screw before you ever reach for the hammer.

There is one practical limitation that matters: the packaging notes that this tool cannot be used for removing high hardness screws, drilling screws, drywall screws, stainless screws, and similar fasteners. That is worth knowing up front. This is a removal tool for the right applications, not a magic fix for every hardened or specialty fastener out there.

Who should buy it? If you work on equipment, panels, covers, machines, motorcycles, or anything with screws that have been in place too long, this kit makes sense. If you mostly do light assembly and never deal with seized or stripped screws, a normal screwdriver set will do the job. But if stuck fasteners cost you time, the Vessel 238HWB-7PU Impact & Out Screwdriver & 7PC. Bit Set earns its space in the toolbox.

Break Loose Stubborn Screws

This is the whole reason to own this tool. A hammer strike delivers impact force while the handle turns the bit slightly counterclockwise, helping free seized screws that a regular driver just rounds over.

• Blade turns 12 degrees counterclockwise when struck with a hammer
• Built specifically for stubborn and stripped screw removal

Use the Right Bit for the Job

The included bit selection covers the fastener styles you are most likely to see in service and repair work. That saves time digging through other kits when the screw head changes from one panel or component to the next.

• Includes Phillips, slotted, and Torx driver bits
• Also includes a dedicated screw remover bit for damaged fasteners

Made for Real Removal Work

The compact handle gives you a controlled grip while keeping the tool short enough for tighter spots. That makes it easier to stay straight on the fastener, which is exactly what you want when the screw head is already on borrowed time.

• Approximate screwdriver length: 4-1/8 in.
• Textured grip sections help with control during impact removal

Pro Tip

Use the bit that fits the screw head as tightly as possible before you strike the driver. With a tool like this, clean bit fit plus firm downward pressure is what lets that 12-degree impact action do its job instead of slipping out and making the fastener worse.
