Key Features

Core Electrical Kit You get the hand tools that cover a lot of daily electrical and service work in one setup: lineman's pliers, diagonal cutters, long nose pliers, a wire stripper, and two screwdrivers. Less digging through the truck, less piecing together a kit. Cut With Less Fight The pliers use an optimized pivot point for better leverage, and Milwaukee calls out laser-hardened edges and teeth for longer life. That matters when you are making repeated cuts and do not want the tool to feel worn out early. Milwaukee Hand Tool Set With PACKOUT This Milwaukee MT500-6P hand tool set comes packed in a PACKOUT low-profile compact organizer with a custom tray insert. It keeps the tools protected, easy to spot, and ready to stack with the rest of your PACKOUT storage.

Overview

The Milwaukee MT500-6P 6 PC. Dipped Grip Pliers, Wire Stripper, & Cushion Grip Screwdrivers Set with PACKOUT Low-Profile Compact Organizer is a hand tool set built for electrical work, service calls, and general jobsite repair. This is a hand tool kit designed for cutting, gripping, stripping wire, and driving common fasteners. Model Number: MT500-6P. If you want a single grab-and-go setup instead of pulling individual tools from different bags, this kit makes a lot of sense.

The tool mix is practical. You get 9 inch lineman's pliers, 8 inch diagonal cutting pliers, 8 inch long nose pliers, an 8-20 AWG wire stripper and cutter, a Phillips #2 4 inch screwdriver, and a 1/4 inch slotted 4 inch screwdriver. That covers a wide range of electrical rough-in, panel work, outlet and switch installs, control work, and day-to-day maintenance tasks. For a pro who spends time cutting wire, pulling, twisting, stripping, and terminating, these are the tools that actually get used.

Milwaukee built the pliers around better cutting leverage and longer edge life. The lineman's pliers and diagonal cutters use an optimized pivot point to give you more leverage on tough cuts, which helps when you are working with heavier wire or making repeated cuts all day. Milwaukee also calls out laser-hardened edges and teeth for longer service life, plus smooth open and close action right away, so the tools are not supposed to need a break-in period before they feel right in the hand.

The wire stripper is more than a basic add-on. It handles 8-18 AWG solid wire and 10-20 AWG stranded wire with precision-ground stripping holes for cleaner, more consistent strips. V-shaped cutting blades help hold wire more securely during cuts, and the stripper also includes 6-32 and 8-32 threaded bolt shears plus a loop maker. That gives this part of the kit real value for electricians and maintenance techs who need one tool to handle several wire prep steps without constantly switching tools.

The screwdrivers are built around fit and control. Milwaukee states the tips are designed for a precise fit to help reduce screw stripping, and the cushion grip handles are there for better hand comfort and more confident torque. The screwdriver details also include a laser-etched anti-slip tip, visible identification markings, a knurled shank for precision control, and a tether-ready lanyard hole. In plain terms, these are the details that help when you are working inside panels, device boxes, or other tight spaces where a sloppy driver tip wastes time fast.

Storage is a big part of why this set stands out. Instead of tossing premium hand tools into a loose pouch, Milwaukee includes a PACKOUT Compact Low-Profile Organizer and a customized hand tool tray insert. That keeps each tool in its place and makes the kit easier to load into a truck, cart, or gang box. If you already use PACKOUT, this slots right into that system. If you do not, it is still a durable way to keep an electrical hand tool set organized and protected between jobs.

This Milwaukee hand tool kit is a strong fit for electricians, HVAC techs, maintenance crews, plant technicians, telecom installers, and remodelers who want a compact service-ready setup. Serious DIY users will also get a lot out of it, especially if they want better hand tools than entry-level store sets. The main thing to know is that this is not a giant general-purpose assortment. It is a focused kit built around wire work, cutting, gripping, and everyday fastening, which is exactly why it is useful.

Organized for Service Work

The organizer matters almost as much as the tools here. A compact hand tool kit only saves time if everything stays in place, and the included tray insert gives each tool a dedicated spot so you can grab what you need and see what is missing before leaving the job.

Tool Nut's Take

Milwaukee MT500-6P 6 PC. Dipped Grip Pliers, Wire Stripper, & Cushion Grip Screwdrivers Set with PACKOUT Low-Profile Compact Organizer is a smart grab-and-go kit

This is the kind of set that saves time because the tool selection is tight, the storage is sorted, and nothing in the case feels like filler.

• Who it's for: Electricians, maintenance techs, HVAC service crews, and serious DIY users who want a focused hand tool kit instead of a big mixed set full of junk they will not use.
• Why it stands out: The combination of USA-made cutting tools, a real wire stripper with useful capacity, and PACKOUT storage makes it more job-ready than most boxed hand tool sets.
• Worth knowing: Milwaukee calls it a 6 piece kit because there are 6 primary hand tools, but you are also getting the organizer and tray insert. That is a good thing, just know the count language can be a little confusing at first glance.
