Overview

The Vessel 980P2100 MEGADORA IMPACTA #2 Phillips 4-in. Screwdriver is a hand screwdriver built for driving and loosening Phillips fasteners, especially when corrosion or thread lock makes them fight back. This is a screwdriver designed for general fastening, maintenance, and stubborn screw removal. Model Number: 980P2100.

What makes this one different from an ordinary Phillips driver is the tang-thru shank and steel cap with cam rotation mechanism. In plain terms, you can strike the end of the handle and use the tool to help break a frozen screw loose. That matters in automotive work, machine service, electrical enclosures, and older hardware where a normal screwdriver can slip, twist, or round out the head before the screw ever moves.

The Phillips #2 tip is the size most users reach for constantly, and Vessel pairs it with a high-precision black point tip for a tighter fit in the screw recess. When tip fit is better, you get more control and better transfer of force into the screw instead of into your wrist. It also helps reduce cam-out, which is the fast way to ruin both the fastener and your mood.

At 100 mm shank length with a 6.4 mm shank diameter, this driver gives you enough reach for common panel, fixture, and equipment work without turning into a long, whippy screwdriver that feels vague under load. The 1-5/16" (34 mm) grip diameter gives the handle some substance in the hand, which helps when you are putting real torque into a stuck fastener or running several screws in a row.

Overall length is 8-3/8" (213 mm), so it carries easily in a pouch, drawer, or service cart but still gives you the leverage expected from a full-size shop screwdriver. The Chrome Vanadium Steel construction adds durability where it counts, especially for a tool that may see both twisting force and light hammer strikes over time.

This Vessel hand tool makes the most sense for technicians, mechanics, maintenance crews, electricians, assembly work, and serious DIY users who are tired of disposable screwdrivers. If you mainly need a driver for light household use, it may be more tool than you need. If you regularly deal with seized screws, worn hardware, or repetitive fastening, the 980P2100 earns its spot fast.

Break Loose Stubborn Screws Without Switching Tools

The big selling point here is simple: this is still a familiar hand screwdriver, but it is built to handle the kind of fasteners that usually waste time. The impact-ready cap and internal cam rotation setup help turn a stuck screw into a manageable job instead of a stripped one.

• Tang-thru shank with steel cap supports hammer-assisted loosening
• High-precision black point Phillips #2 tip improves bite in the screw head
• 100 mm shank length is a useful everyday size for bench, field, and service work

Pro Tip

On older or painted-over Phillips screws, seat the tip fully and give the cap a light tap before you lean on the handle. That helps the black point tip bite deeper and gives the cam rotation mechanism a better shot at breaking the screw loose cleanly.
