Key Features

Three Common Drives Covered Phillips, slotted and Square-Plus bits in the two sizes you reach for most, so one compact screwdriver handles cabinet hardware, outlet covers, panels and square-drive screws. Bits Live in the Handle The Kraftform handle has an integrated bit magazine and a non-roll shape, so the bits stay with the driver and the driver stays where you set it down. Rapidaptor Bit Holder The telescoping 4" Rapidaptor blade locks bits in and releases them one-handed, retracts into the handle for stubby work and pulls out to chuck into a drill.

Overview

The Wera Kraftform Kompakt 26 With Pouch, 7-Pieces is a pocket-size bit-holding screwdriver set for electricians, maintenance techs, installers and anyone who wants a full driver kit without carrying a roll of screwdrivers. This is a multi-bit screwdriver designed for everyday assembly, service and installation work with Phillips, slotted and square-drive screws. Model Number 05051025001. It belongs to the Wera Kraftform Kompakt family, built around one handle, a quick-change holder and a magazine of bits.

The heart of the set is the 889/4 R Rapidaptor universal bit holder, a 1/4" hex holder 4" (100 mm) long. Rapidaptor technology means rapid-in, rapid-out bit changes, a rapid-spin sleeve for running screws down fast, chuck-all compatibility and single-hand operation. Push a bit in and it locks; slide the sleeve and it drops out. No fumbling with a magnet or prying a stuck bit loose with pliers.

The holder is a telescoping bayonet-style blade. Retract it into the handle and you have a short driver for tight cabinets and junction boxes; extend it for reach into recessed screws. Pull it out completely and it chucks straight into a drill/driver, so the same bits you use by hand go to work under power when you have a stack of screws to run.

The six bits are 1" (25 mm) Wera Z bits, made from tough, viscous steel for universal use. You get Phillips #1 and Phillips #2 (Wera 851/1 Z), slotted 1.0 x 5.5 mm and 1.2 x 6.5 mm (Wera 800/1 Z) and Square-Plus #1 and #2 (Wera 868/1 Z). That mix covers the bulk of household, electrical and cabinet hardware. The Square-Plus bits are what set the 26 apart from the Kraftform Kompakt 25 With Pouch, which trades the square drives for a third Phillips and a third slotted size.

The Kraftform handle is shaped to fill the hand, with hard and soft zones that let you turn fast with the fingers and then bear down for final torque without fatigue. The non-roll feature keeps it from sliding off a ladder top or panel. Spare bits ride in the integrated magazine inside the handle, so a complete driver kit fits in a single grip.

Everything stores in a robust pouch, and the included hook-and-loop fastener strip, 2" x 2-3/4" (50 x 70 mm), lets you mount it inside a van door, on a tool bag or on a panel. Because the holder takes standard 1/4" hex bits per DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3 and E 6.3, plus Wera Series 1 and Series 4 bits, you can add Torx, hex or longer power bits from any Wera driver bit set as your work changes.

Who should buy it? Electricians and service techs who want one driver in a pocket, cabinet and fixture installers who run into square-drive screws, and homeowners who want a single quality driver in the kitchen drawer. If your work is mostly Torx or hex fasteners, pick a different Kompakt set; for Phillips, slotted and square work, this is the one.

From Hand Driver to Drill in Seconds

The Rapidaptor blade pulls out of the handle and goes straight into a drill chuck, so the bit you are using by hand runs the rest of the screws under power.

• Chuck-all design fits standard drill chucks
• Same bits work by hand and in the drill

Short When You Need It, Long When You Don't

The bayonet blade telescopes in and out of the handle, giving you a stubby driver for cramped boxes and a longer reach for recessed screws without changing tools.

• 4" (100 mm) Rapidaptor holder
• Retracts into the handle for compact work

One-Hand Bit Changes

Rapidaptor locks the bit as soon as it is pushed in and releases it with a slide of the sleeve, which matters when you are on a ladder with one hand on the work.

• Rapid-in, rapid-out and rapid-spin functions
• Accepts 1/4" hex bits, Wera Series 1 and Series 4

Bits That Hold Up

Wera Z bits use tough, viscous steel built for everyday hand and power driving, and the 1" length stores neatly in the handle magazine.

• Phillips #1 and #2, slotted 1.0 x 5.5 mm and 1.2 x 6.5 mm
• Square-Plus #1 and #2

Running a row of screws? Start them by hand with the blade extended, then pull the Rapidaptor out and drop it in your drill to finish. Snug the last turn back on the Kraftform handle so you don't overdrive into soft cabinet stock.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Wera Kraftform Kompakt 26 Is a Whole Screwdriver Drawer in One Handle

Six well-chosen bits, a holder that works by hand or in a drill and a handle that stores it all, in a pouch that fits a pocket.

• Who it's for: Electricians, service techs, installers and homeowners who work mostly with Phillips, slotted and square-drive screws.
• Why it stands out: Rapidaptor one-hand bit changes, a telescoping blade that doubles as a drill adapter and Square-Plus bits for the square-drive screws common in cabinets and decking.
• Worth knowing: There are no Torx or hex bits in this set. Add them separately if your work calls for them.

Common Questions

• Can I use my own bits in the holder? Yes. The Rapidaptor holder accepts standard 1/4" hex insert bits plus Wera Series 1 and Series 4 bits.
• Can the holder go in a drill? Yes. The blade comes out of the handle and fits a drill chuck.
• What is the difference between the Kompakt 25 and 26? The 26 includes Square-Plus #1 and #2 bits; the 25 swaps them for a Phillips #3 and an extra slotted bit.
