Key Features

Heavy Concrete PowerThe DEWALT DCH775X2 SDS MAX Combination Rotary Hammer delivers 19.4 Joules of impact energy, which is the number that matters when you are drilling large holes, driving ground rods, or chipping tough concrete that smaller hammers struggle with. More Control, Less FightSHOCKS Active Vibration Control and the Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH system help keep the tool manageable during long runs and bind-up situations, which means less fatigue and better control when the bit loads up. Ready to WorkThis cordless rotary hammer kit comes with two 9.0 Ah FLEXVOLT batteries, a charger, a kit box, and a side handle, so it is set up for real jobsite use right out of the box.

Overview

The DEWALT DCH775X2 FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 2 in. Brushless Cordless SDS MAX Combination Rotary Hammer is built for crews that need serious cordless concrete performance without dragging cords and generators around the site. This is a rotary hammer designed for heavy concrete drilling, chipping, dry coring, and doweling work. Model Number: DCH775X2. If your work involves rebar doweling, lower wall and floor chipping, or ground rod driving, this is the kind of hammer you buy when lighter tools are no longer enough.

The headline spec here is 19.4 Joules of impact energy. That matters because it tells you this tool is made for production-level drilling and chipping, not occasional anchor holes. DEWALT also pairs that output with constant-speed electronics, so the hammer is designed to maintain speed under heavy load instead of bogging down when the bit starts working deep in hard concrete. Add the brushless motor and German-engineered mechanism, and you get a cordless SDS MAX rotary hammer that is aimed squarely at demanding concrete and masonry applications.

On the job, that translates into practical capability. DEWALT calls this model ideally suited for horizontal and downward drilling for #9 through #14 rebar doweling, dry coring up to 6 in., chipping in lower walls and floors, bushing applications, and ground rod driving. The 7-position variable-speed dial gives you another layer of control, which is useful when you need to back off for denser material or change how aggressively the tool hits during chipping. According to available specifications, the tool runs at 145 to 290 RPM with a blow rate of 1,105 to 2,210 BPM.

DEWALT also put effort into making a big hammer easier to handle. SHOCKS Active Vibration Control is there to reduce how much vibration reaches the handles, which matters when you are working for long stretches in concrete. The Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH system is another jobsite-focused feature. In a bind-up situation, the tool is designed to shut down to help prevent the violent twist that can happen when a large bit catches. For a hammer in this size class, those control and safety features are not extras. They are part of what makes the tool worth using all day.

This is a cordless platform tool, but it is not a bare tool compromise. The DCH775X2 kit includes two 9.0 Ah FLEXVOLT batteries and a charger, so you are getting the battery capacity needed for a high-demand SDS MAX hammer. It is also Tag Ready and can be integrated into the TOOL CONNECT inventory management system, which is useful for larger crews trying to keep track of expensive equipment across trucks, jobsites, and storage.

From a design standpoint, this is a substantial tool. The net tool weight is listed at 21 lb, which tells you DEWALT built it for output and durability rather than one-handed convenience. That extra mass works in your favor in many demolition and drilling tasks because the hammer can stay planted and carry momentum into the work. The SDS MAX interface supports the larger bits and chisels this class of tool is expected to run, and the included side handle gives you the leverage you need when the job gets rough.

If you are a concrete contractor, utility crew, commercial contractor, mason, or remodeler doing regular structural drilling and chipping, this tool makes sense. If your work is mostly light-duty anchor holes, it is more hammer than you need. But if you want cordless freedom with real SDS MAX performance, the DEWALT DCH775X2 FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 2 in. Brushless Cordless SDS MAX Combination Rotary Hammer is built for exactly that lane.

Built for Hard Concrete Work

This is the kind of rotary hammer you bring out when the job moves past light anchor work and into serious drilling and chipping. The size, impact energy, and SDS MAX platform are all aimed at concrete crews that need a cordless tool that can keep up.

• 19.4 Joules of impact energy for rapid drilling and chipping in hard concrete
• Ideally suited for #9 to #14 rebar doweling, lower wall and floor chipping, and ground rod driving

More Control When the Bit Loads Up

Big rotary hammers need more than raw power. They need to stay predictable. DEWALT backs up the output here with features that help the tool stay manageable when you hit dense material or run it for longer stretches.

• Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH system is designed to shut the tool down in bind-up situations
• SHOCKS Active Vibration Control helps reduce vibration felt at the handles

Cordless Freedom Without Giving Up Runtime

A hammer this size only makes sense if the battery system can support it. The included FLEXVOLT batteries give this kit the runtime and output needed for heavy applications while keeping you out of extension-cord territory.

• Includes two 9.0 Ah FLEXVOLT batteries and a charger
• Brushless motor and constant-speed electronics are designed for efficient performance under load

Pro Tip

Use the 7-position speed dial to tune the hammer to the material instead of running it wide open every time. On harder concrete or when switching between drilling and chipping, that extra control helps the bit track better and keeps the tool from feeling more aggressive than it needs to.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

DEWALT DCH775X2 is the cordless hammer you buy when small rotary hammers stop cutting it

This is a serious SDS MAX concrete tool with the battery platform and control features to make cordless actually practical in heavy-duty work.

• Who it's for: Concrete contractors, utility crews, masons, and commercial tradespeople drilling large holes, doweling rebar, chipping slabs, or driving rods on jobs where cords get in the way.
• Why it stands out: 19.4 Joules of impact energy, FLEXVOLT power, constant-speed electronics, and E-CLUTCH plus vibration control put it in the real-work category, not the light-duty category.
• Worth knowing: At 21 lb, this is not a casual carry-around hammer. That weight is part of why it hits the way it does, but you should buy it for heavy applications, not occasional anchor drilling.

Common Questions

• Is this a cordless or corded rotary hammer? It is a cordless rotary hammer powered by the DEWALT FLEXVOLT battery system.
• What bit system does it use? The DCH775X2 uses an SDS MAX chuck, so it is designed for SDS MAX bits and chisels.
