Key Features

Fine-Tooth Bit Ratchet The 1/4" hex bit ratchet has 60 teeth and a 6-degree return angle, so it keeps turning fasteners where a screwdriver handle has no room to swing. 28 Bits, 7 SAE Sockets This compact screwdriver bit and socket set covers Phillips, Torx, tamper-resistant Torx, square, hex, and slotted screws plus 3/16" to 1/2" nuts and bolts. Compact Enough to Carry Anywhere All 39 pieces lock into a 7-1/2" x 4" case that weighs about 1.1 lbs, small enough for a service bag, glovebox, or drawer.

Overview

The Wera Tool-Check Plus Imperial 1, 39-Pieces is a compact bit ratchet, screwdriver, and socket set for service techs, installers, mechanics, and anyone who needs a full driving kit without carrying a full toolbox. This is a 1/4" bit and socket set designed for mobile repair and installation work, with SAE sockets sized for North American fasteners. Model Number 05049060001 is part of the Wera Tool-Check family, packing a ratchet, two bit holders, 28 bits, an adapter, and seven sockets into one compact case.

The heart of the set is the Zyklop Mini 1 bit ratchet. It takes 1/4" hex bits directly, has a drop-forged solid steel body, and uses a fine 60-tooth mechanism with a 6-degree return angle. That small swing arc matters behind appliances, inside cabinets, and in engine bays, where you can only move the handle a few degrees at a time. Wera rates it for over 47.9 ft-lbs (65 Nm) of torque, and a lever switches it between tightening and loosening.

Two more drivers extend the kit's reach. The 813 Kraftform bitholding screwdriver gives you a comfortable handle for fast, hand-turned work, and the 889/4/1 K Rapidaptor universal bit holder works in a drill or driver for powered fastening. Add the 870/1 adapter and the 1/4" sockets run on the bit ratchet too. The same ratchet is sold on its own as the Wera 8001 A Zyklop Mini 1 bit ratchet if you want a second one for the truck.

The 28 bits cover the screws you actually see: Phillips #1, #2, and #3; Torx T10 through T40; tamper-resistant Torx T10 through T30 with a center bore; square #1 through #3; hex 3/32" through 1/4"; and a 1.0 x 5.5 mm slotted bit. Most are BiTorsion (BTZ) bits, with a torsion zone that absorbs peak loads so the bit doesn't snap prematurely. The remaining Z bits use Wera's extra-tough design for universal use.

The seven Zyklop 1/4" sockets run from 3/16" to 1/2" in SAE sizes. They are chrome-vanadium with a matte chrome finish, a ball-stop groove for secure attachment, and a knurled rear end you can spin by hand to run nuts down quickly. They are made for hand and machine use, not for impact drivers. For more drive sizes, Wera offers a full range of Wera socket sets.

Wera's Take it easy tool finder color-codes every bit by drive profile and stamps its size, and the sockets carry color bands by size. Green locking components hold every tool in place, so the case can ride loose in a bag without spilling bits when it's opened.

Who should buy it? HVAC and appliance techs, low-voltage and AV installers, field service crews, and DIYers who want one compact kit that handles screws, nuts, and bolts. If you work mainly on metric fasteners, the Wera Tool-Check Plus 1 is the metric version of this set.

Turn Screws Where Handles Won't Fit

The bit ratchet's short head and fine mechanism let it work in gaps too tight for a screwdriver or standard ratchet.

• 60 teeth, 6-degree return angle
• Over 47.9 ft-lbs (65 Nm) torque rating

Sockets on the Same Ratchet

Snap the 870/1 adapter into the bit ratchet and it drives the included 1/4" sockets, so one tool handles screws, nuts, and bolts.

• (7) SAE sockets, 3/16" to 1/2"
• 1/4" hex to 1/4" square adapter included

Bits Built to Take Peak Loads

The BiTorsion zone flexes under peak torque instead of letting the bit tip fracture, which means fewer broken bits on stubborn screws.

• BTZ BiTorsion bits plus extra-tough Z bits
• Size stamped on every bit

Grab the Right Bit Every Time

Color coding by drive profile lets you find the right bit at a glance instead of reading tiny markings on the job.

• Take it easy color coding on bits and sockets
• Green locking components keep tools in place

Pro Tip

Break stubborn screws loose with the bit ratchet, then move the bit to the 813 screwdriver or the Rapidaptor in a drill to spin it out fast. The ratchet gives you leverage; the other two give you speed.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Wera Tool-Check Plus Imperial 1 Is a Service Kit That Goes Everywhere

A real ratchet, the bits you use daily, and SAE sockets in a 7-1/2" x 4" case.

• Who it's for: Service techs, installers, and DIYers who want one compact kit for screws, nuts, and bolts.
• Why it stands out: The 60-tooth bit ratchet, BiTorsion bits, and Zyklop sockets are full-quality Wera tools, not filler.
• Worth knowing: Sockets stop at 1/2" and are not impact rated. For metric fasteners, choose the Tool-Check Plus 1 instead.

Common Questions

• Are the sockets SAE or metric? SAE. The seven sockets run from 3/16" to 1/2".
• Can I use the sockets on an impact driver? No. The Zyklop sockets are made for hand and machine use, not impact.
• Does the ratchet drive sockets directly? It takes 1/4" hex bits directly. Use the included 870/1 adapter to drive 1/4" sockets.
