Key Features

Faster PEX Crimping The DEWALT DWAPXCIR IMPACT CONNECT PEX Crimp Ring Attachment uses your impact driver to speed up copper crimp ring work. DEWALT rates it for 50% faster crimping, which helps move rough-in plumbing along without fighting a manual hand crimper all day. Less Effort, Less Fatigue DEWALT states this attachment delivers up to 30 times less crimping effort than a hand tool. That matters when you are making repeated crimps overhead, in crawlspaces, or across a full house rough-in. Quick-Change Setup The Quick-Change brace lets you attach the crimp ring attachment in seconds and switch back to driving screws without dragging another dedicated tool around. It is a practical setup for plumbers and remodelers already running an impact driver on site.

Overview

The DEWALT DWAPXCIR IMPACT CONNECT PEX Crimp Ring Attachment is built for plumbers, remodelers, and contractors who want to make PEX crimp connections faster by using a tool they already carry. This is a PEX crimp ring attachment designed for crimping copper rings onto PEX pipe with a compatible impact driver. Model Number: DWAPXCIR. Instead of squeezing a manual crimper over and over, this setup turns impact driver power into a quicker, more controlled way to finish rough-in plumbing work.

The big story here is jobsite efficiency. DEWALT rates this attachment for 50% faster crimping and up to 30 times less crimping effort versus a hand tool in its stated test conditions. In plain terms, that means less wear on your hands and forearms and less slowdown when you have a lot of joints to make. If you are roughing in bathrooms, kitchens, basements, or whole-home water lines, that time savings adds up fast.

What makes this attachment useful is that it is not a one-trick standalone tool you have to carry separately. It mounts to select DEWALT 20V MAX and other compatible pro-grade 18V impact drivers using the Quick-Change brace system, so you can move from fastening work to PEX crimping without a major interruption. For tradesmen already using an impact driver all day, that is a more efficient setup than adding another full-size powered crimper to the truck.

DEWALT also built this one around real installation conditions. The head offers 360 degree rotation to help you line up the crimp where the pipe run actually lands, and the tool is designed to fit in a standard joist bay. That matters in floor systems, stud walls, and utility chases where access is usually the thing slowing the job down. One-handed operation helps keep the pipe and ring positioned while you work, especially when you are reaching into framed cavities.

Crimp quality matters more than raw speed, and this attachment is set up with that in mind. DEWALT calls out patented crimp jaw geometry, wire ring supports for vertical crimping, and all-metal internal mechanisms for durability and consistent performance. There is also a completion indicator, plus the included go/no-go gauge gives you a direct way to verify finished crimps. According to the product graphics, the attachment meets F1807 ASTM spec, which is an important point for copper crimp ring PEX work where consistency is the whole game.

The DEWALT DWAPXCIR IMPACT CONNECT PEX Crimp Ring Attachment handles both 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch ring sizes, which covers a lot of common residential plumbing work without forcing you into a larger dedicated machine. Adjustable torque settings let you tune performance for the application, which is useful when you are moving between different pipe runs and working positions. It is a straightforward system aimed at keeping crimps tight and repeatable while still moving faster than manual tools.

This attachment makes the most sense for plumbers and serious remodelers who already rely on compatible impact drivers and want a faster way to handle copper crimp ring connections on PEX-B pipe. It is also a smart fit for service pros who need to work in tight framing and do not want to haul a bulky specialty tool for smaller jobs. If you rarely do PEX work, a hand tool may still be enough. If PEX rough-in is regular work, this attachment is the kind of upgrade that pays for itself in saved time and less fatigue.

Built to Work Where Manual Crimpers Fight You

This attachment is made for the spots where plumbing work usually gets awkward: tight stud bays, joist spaces, and vertical runs where keeping the ring in place can be a pain. The rotating head and brace system help you get lined up without wrestling a long manual tool through the framing.

• 360 degree rotation helps position the head for better access
• Designed to fit in a standard joist bay for tighter rough-in work
• Wire ring supports help prevent ring sliding on vertical applications
