Cut-Off Saw with ONE-KEY Kit adds tool tracking and management on top of cutting performance. That matters if this saw lives in a truck, trailer, or shared fleet.

Overview

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 9 in. Cut-Off Saw with ONE-KEY Kit, Model 2786-22HD, is a battery-powered cut-off saw built for tradespeople who need serious cutting performance without dragging around a gas engine. This is a cordless cut-off saw designed for cutting reinforced concrete, metal, and masonry materials. If you want the reach and capacity of a 9 inch concrete saw but want faster startup, less maintenance, and indoor-friendly operation, this is the tool Milwaukee built for that job.

The big story here is capability. Milwaukee calls out the power to cut reinforced concrete, and the specs back up that this is more than a light-duty masonry saw. You get a 9 inch blade, a 3.4 inch cut depth, a 7/8 inch arbor, and a no-load speed of 6,600 RPM. In plain terms, that gives you the size and speed needed for common demolition, utility, and site-prep cuts in concrete, block, rebar-containing material, ductile pipe, cast iron, and other demanding jobsite materials.

Where this saw separates itself from gas units is day-to-day convenience. It runs on the Milwaukee M18 battery system, so there is no fuel mixing, no pull starts, no exhaust fumes, and no small-engine maintenance. Milwaukee also states it can be used indoors because it produces no fumes. For contractors working in basements, occupied buildings, mechanical rooms, or renovation spaces where gas equipment is a headache, that alone can be the deciding factor.

Milwaukee also pushed the jobsite details that matter when the saw is actually in use. The onboard water connection uses a quick-connect setup for concrete cutting, and the image data shows water feed to both sides of the blade for dust control during wet cutting. There is also a load or overload indicator light that coaches the user when pushing too hard, helping you stay in the tool's efficient cutting range instead of bogging it down. That is the kind of feature that helps blade life and keeps cuts moving.

From a safety and control standpoint, this saw includes a fully adjustable guard and Milwaukee's RAPIDSTOP blade brake. Milwaukee states the brake stops the blade in under 3 seconds after the trigger is released. On a tool in this class, that is not a throwaway feature. Faster blade stop means quicker repositioning between cuts and less waiting around with a spinning wheel after every pass. A spindle lock is also listed, and Milwaukee includes onboard storage for the wrench and hex key, so blade changes are easier to handle on site.

The kit configuration matters too. This is not just a bare tool. You get the saw, two M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 batteries, an M12/M18 Rapid Charger, one diamond blade, and one abrasive blade. That gives you a practical starting setup for both masonry and metal cutting instead of forcing you to build the kit piece by piece. If you are already on the M18 platform, the batteries also work across Milwaukee's broader M18 system, which makes the investment easier to justify for crews standardizing on one cordless platform.

Physically, the saw measures 26.1 inches long, 7.6 inches wide, and 12.54 inches high, with a bare tool weight of 10.6 pounds. Milwaukee also claims it is up to 50% lighter than gas competitors, and one of the product images compares it at 11.9 pounds versus a leading gas competitor at 26.2 pounds. Whether you're making repeated cuts off the ground or carrying the saw across a site, that reduced weight makes a real difference in fatigue and handling.

Who should buy it? This saw makes the most sense for concrete contractors, utility crews, general contractors, remodelers, masons, metal trades, and serious property maintenance teams that need a versatile cordless concrete saw and metal cutting saw in one platform. If you only make the occasional shallow cut in pavers, it is more tool than you need. If you need a pro-grade battery-powered cut-off saw that avoids gas hassles and still has the capacity to handle real demolition and cutting work, this is exactly the lane it was built for.
