Priority ChargingA priority outlet lets you keep your most important battery charger fed first, which matters when one pack needs to be ready before anything else.

Overview

DEWALT DCBPC1615 15 Amp Power Controller is a corded charging management solution built for crews that run a lot of cordless tools and need a cleaner way to keep batteries cycling. This is a power controller designed for bulk charging multiple cordless tool batteries by powering several chargers from one dedicated 15 amp circuit. Model Number: DCBPC1615. If your shop, trailer, or jobsite keeps turning into a tangle of chargers and overloaded outlets, this is the piece that brings order back to the setup.

The big advantage here is capacity. With 6 AC outlets, the unit is set up to run multiple chargers from one controller, and DEWALT states it can charge up to 24 batteries in less than 5 hours in a tested configuration. That matters for contractors who are rotating packs all day across drills, impact drivers, saws, and grinders. Instead of spreading chargers across random wall outlets and hoping the circuit holds, you get a single organized charging hub that helps manage the load.

What separates this from a basic power strip is the intelligent power control. The DCBPC1615 is built to help minimize breaker trips and interruptions by managing power distribution across connected chargers. On a real jobsite, that means less downtime, fewer surprise resets, and a better chance that your battery charging station is still doing its job when you come back to it. If you have ever lost time because somebody plugged one more charger into an already loaded circuit, you already understand why this matters.

DEWALT also added practical details that make it easier to live with day to day. The priority outlet lets you designate which high-demand battery should receive uninterrupted power first. That is useful when you need one specific charger to stay active so your most-used pack gets back into rotation fast. Built-in organization features, including cord management and power status indicators noted in supplementary product information, make it easier to see what is powered and keep the station from turning into a mess.

The housing is designed for jobsite use, not just shelf storage. It is wall mountable, which is a smart feature for shops, trailers, and gang boxes where floor space disappears quickly. At about 15.75 inches long and 4.8 lbs, it is compact enough to mount or move without drama, but large enough to keep six outlets accessible. The carry-handle form factor also makes sense for crews that need to relocate charging setups between rooms, floors, or service vehicles.

Compatibility is important to explain clearly. This unit does not charge batteries directly by itself. It powers battery chargers through its AC outlets. DEWALT's own testing reference calls out a setup using (6) DCB1404 chargers and (24) DCB609 batteries, with chargers and batteries sold separately. So if you are already invested in DEWALT cordless platforms and want a better way to run multiple chargers together, this fits that use case well.

Who should buy it? This is a strong fit for general contractors, electrical crews, remodeling teams, concrete crews, service departments, and shop managers who have a steady stream of batteries coming off tools and going back on chargers. It is less about a single-user home garage and more about battery management at scale. If your workday depends on keeping a lot of cordless tools ready, the DEWALT DCBPC1615 15 Amp Power Controller solves a real problem instead of adding another accessory you do not need.

Keep Your Charging Station Under Control

This setup is for users who need one place to run several battery chargers without turning a wall outlet into a guessing game. It is built to centralize charging and keep the whole station more organized.

• Six onboard AC outlets let you power multiple chargers from a single controller
• Wall-mountable design helps free up bench and floor space
• Designed to help reduce breaker-related interruptions on a dedicated 15 amp circuit

Put Your Most Important Battery First

The priority outlet is one of those features that sounds small until you need a specific battery ready now. It gives you a smarter way to keep a critical charger active first instead of treating every charger the same.

• Priority outlet helps direct uninterrupted power to a high-demand charger first
• Status indicators give a quick read on outlet activity
• Useful for crews rotating one must-have battery pack back onto the tool as fast as possible

Pro Tip

Put the charger for your most-used battery on the priority outlet and leave lower-priority packs on the remaining outlets. If one tool keeps the whole crew moving, this is the easiest way to make sure that battery gets back into rotation first.
