Gas-Free Cutting PowerThe Milwaukee 2826-20C M18 FUEL 12 in Top Handle Chainsaw uses a POWERSTATE brushless motor to deliver up to 2.7 peak horsepower and 3.2 Nm of peak torque, so you get the cutting strength needed for hardwoods without pull starts, fuel mixing, or engine maintenance. Fast Response in the CutFull throttle in under 1 second and a 15 m/s chain speed help this top handle chainsaw stay productive in trimming, limbing, and aerial cutting where hesitation costs time. Built Into M18It runs on the Milwaukee M18 battery platform, so crews already on M18 can use existing packs across more than 250 tools instead of adding another battery system to the truck.

Overview

The Milwaukee 2826-20C M18 FUEL 12 in Top Handle Chainsaw is a cordless top handle chainsaw built for professional aerial cutting, pruning, limbing, and tree care work. This is a top handle chainsaw designed for arborist work, utility line clearance, and landscape maintenance where fast response, compact control, and low-maintenance operation matter. Model Number: 2826-20C.

What makes this saw matter is simple: it is built to do the same kind of work many users used to reserve for small gas saws, but without the usual gas-engine baggage. Milwaukee rates it to cut faster than 35cc gas, and the saw reaches full throttle in under 1 second. That quick response matters when you are repositioning often, making controlled cuts in a tree, or working in awkward body positions where you do not want to wait on the saw to come alive.

The POWERSTATE brushless motor is a big part of that. Milwaukee lists up to 2.7 peak horsepower and 3.2 Nm of peak torque, along with a 15 m/s chain speed. On the job, that means the saw is built to keep cutting through hardwoods and stay productive under load instead of feeling like a light-duty pruning tool. If you need a compact arborist saw that still has enough bite for serious branch removal and limbing, that is the point of this model.

Milwaukee also set this saw up with the features pros actually use instead of fluff. The easy-access chain tensioner makes chain adjustments quicker, which is a real advantage when the chain stretches during the day and you need to get back to work. Metal bucking spikes give you more leverage and control when you are bracing into the cut. The translucent oil reservoir lets you check bar oil at a glance instead of guessing, and the automatic oiler helps keep the bar and chain fed during repeated cuts.

For jobsite practicality, the onboard scrench storage is one of those small details that ends up saving time because the tool you need stays with the saw. Milwaukee also includes a climbing scabbard that covers the bucking spikes, locks onto the saw, and adds tie-off points for aerial applications. That is not a generic homeowner add-on. It is a feature set aimed squarely at professional arborists and utility workers who need a saw that fits rope-and-saddle work and bucket work better than a rear-handle layout.

This chainsaw is part of the Milwaukee M18 system, which matters if you are already invested in M18 batteries and chargers. It is fully compatible with the M18 platform, and Milwaukee specifically notes performance with REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT and FORGE battery packs. Runtime claims include up to 150 cuts per charge with an XC 8.0 battery and up to 225 cuts per charge with an HD12.0 battery in cedar 4 x 4 material. Batteries and charger are not included with this bare tool, so it makes the most sense for users who already own M18 packs or want to choose the battery size that matches their workload.

The Milwaukee 2826-20C M18 FUEL 12 in Top Handle Chainsaw is not trying to be a big ground saw. It is built for professionals who want a compact, maneuverable cordless chainsaw for climbing, trimming, and controlled cutting overhead. If you are an arborist, power utility lineman, or landscape maintenance pro who wants gas-like performance in a saw that starts instantly and cuts out the engine upkeep, this is exactly the kind of tool that earns its keep.

Milwaukee 2826-20C M18 FUEL 12 in Top Handle Chainsaw in Real Tree Work

This saw is built for the kind of controlled cutting that happens off the ground, not just for occasional cleanup in the backyard. The top handle layout keeps the saw compact and easier to maneuver in tight canopy work and bucket applications.

• Built for professional arborists, utility linemen, and landscape maintenance crews
• Climbing scabbard adds coverage for bucking spikes and tie-off points for aerial applications

Fast Cuts Without the Gas Routine

• Rated to cut faster than 35cc gas
• 15 m/s chain speed supports quick limbing and pruning cuts

Details That Save Time in the Tree

Good chainsaws are not just about raw cutting power. They also need to be easy to live with during a full day of work, and Milwaukee added the small features that reduce interruptions.

• Easy-access chain tensioner for quicker chain adjustments
• Onboard storage keeps the scrench with the saw
• Translucent oil reservoir and automatic oiler help you stay ahead of bar oil needs
