Key Features

Ultra-Fine Marking The micro chalk formula lays down a clean, even coat on the string so your snap line stays sharp instead of looking fuzzy. That matters when you are doing interior layout, remodeling, or finish work where a sloppy line causes rework. High-Visibility Green Fluorescent green chalk is easy to see in bright work areas and on common jobsite surfaces. You spend less time hunting for the line and more time cutting or installing to it. 6 lb Refill Size This Tajima snap line chalk refill comes in a large 6 lb bottle with an easy-fill nozzle. It is a practical choice for crews or frequent users who do not want to keep restocking small bottles.

Overview

The Tajima PLC2-FG2700 Micro Chalk Powdered Snap Line Chalk is a fluorescent green powdered refill made for chalk boxes and snap line layout work. This is a powdered snap line chalk designed for marking out layout lines on interior jobs and other work where a crisp, visible line matters. Model Number: PLC2-FG2700. If you need chalk that reads clearly and goes on fine instead of heavy and messy, this is the right kind of refill.

What separates this chalk from generic refill powder is the ultra-fine formula. Tajima lists it as micro chalk with a 0.012" (0.3 mm) line size, which tells you the goal here is precision. On the job, that means a more even coat on the string and a sharper snapped line on the surface. For remodeling, decorating, and interior layout, that cleaner line is easier to follow when you are setting material, aligning trim, or laying out reference points.

The fluorescent green color is not just for looks. It is meant to give you a bold, high-visibility line that stands out better than standard chalk on many surfaces. If you are working in bright spaces or on substrates where ordinary chalk can disappear, that extra visibility helps you move faster and reduces the chance of losing your mark halfway through the task.

Tajima also calls out fade resistance and smooth wipe-off use, which is a good combination for semi-permanent marking jobs where you want the line to stay put long enough to work from it, but not become a cleanup problem later. This chalk is best for interior use. That makes sense for a finer chalk like this, especially when the priority is a readable line and easier cleanup rather than rough outdoor survival.

The bottle itself is set up like a jobsite refill should be. You get a large 6 lb (2.7 kg) container, plus an easy-fill nozzle that helps get chalk into the box without making a cloud all over the bench or truck. If you refill chalk boxes regularly, that small detail matters. Less spill means less waste, less mess, and less chance of contaminating the inside of the tool with loose powder where you do not want it.

Who is this for? Contractors, remodelers, finish carpenters, decorators, and serious DIY users who need a chalk line refill for clean layout work. If your priority is visible, fine layout lines for indoor marking and you go through enough chalk to justify a large bottle, the Tajima PLC2-FG2700 Micro Chalk Powdered Snap Line Chalk makes a lot of sense. If you need something for rough exterior work or wet conditions, this is probably not the first bottle you grab, since it is listed as not water resistant.
