Key Features

Glue-Line Ripping This Freud blade is built for ripping wood cleanly enough for glue-ready edges. That means less cleanup after the cut and less time at the jointer or sander. 36-Tooth TCG Grind The 36-tooth triple chip grind is set up for controlled ripping performance. It helps balance cut quality and feed speed on production work. Built to Run Cooler Freud adds anti-vibration design, Tri-Metal Brazing, and Silver I.C.E. coating to help the blade stay stable, resist impact at the tooth, and reduce buildup during long runs.

Overview

Freud LCL7M10012 12" (305 mm) Glue Line Ripping Saw Blade is a full-kerf industrial ripping blade for serious wood cutting work. This is a circular saw blade designed for glue-line ripping in solid wood and sheet goods used in shop production. Model Number: LCL7M10012. If your goal is fast, straight ripping with an edge that needs less follow-up work before glue-up, this is the blade Freud built for that job.

The core cutting setup matters here. You get a 12" (305 mm) diameter, 36 teeth, a 1 inch arbor, a 3/16" (4.06 mm) kerf, a 1/8" (2.8 mm) plate, and a 20 degree hook angle. Put together, those numbers tell you this blade is aimed at efficient feed rates in ripping applications while still leaving a cleaner edge than a rough framing blade. The 36-tooth layout and triple chip grind are there to keep the cut controlled instead of simply forcing stock through as fast as possible.

Freud also puts real blade engineering behind the cutting edge. The TiCo Hi-Density Carbide is application-specific, which matters because tooth life is what separates a blade that cuts well for a week from one that holds up in regular shop use. Tri-Metal Brazing adds a stronger bond between the carbide and the blade body, so the teeth are better able to handle impact and sustained work. For anyone running repetitive rip cuts, that extra durability is not a small detail.

Jobsite and shop performance are not just about sharp teeth. Freud includes an anti-vibration design to help the blade track more smoothly through material and reduce chatter. That usually translates into a cleaner finished edge and a saw that feels less harsh under load. The Silver I.C.E. coating is there to reduce buildup on the blade surface and keep it running cooler and cleaner, which is especially useful when you are making repeated cuts and do not want heat and pitch working against cut quality.

In practical terms, this blade is positioned for ripping tasks in wood-based materials including hardwood, softwood, plywood, medium-density fiberboard, oriented strand board, chipboard, and particle board based on the manufacturer application listing. It is not presented as a general-purpose do-everything blade. That is a good thing. Dedicated blades usually do their specific job better, and this one is aimed squarely at ripping with a cleaner finish.

Compatibility is straightforward and important: this blade is for saws that accept a 12 inch blade with a 1 inch arbor. That makes it a fit for the right shop saw and industrial ripping setups, but you should always match your saw's blade size and arbor requirement before ordering. If you run production ripping, cabinet work, millwork, or glue-up prep where edge quality matters, this is the kind of blade that earns its keep.

Who should buy it? Woodworkers, cabinet shops, millwork operations, and pros who rip stock regularly and care about getting closer to a finished edge right off the saw. If you only need an occasional all-purpose blade, this is more specialized than you need. If ripping performance is a daily task, the Freud LCL7M10012 makes a lot more sense.

Clean Edges for Glue-Up Work

This blade is made for rip cuts where edge quality matters after the cut, not just during it. For cabinet parts, glue-ups, and production ripping, that can mean less secondary cleanup before the next step.

• Designed specifically for glue-line ripping applications
• 36-tooth triple chip grind balances feed speed and finish quality
• 20 degree hook angle supports efficient ripping performance

Built for Production-Level Blade Life

Freud did not build this as a disposable blade. The carbide, tooth-to-body bond, and coated blade surface are all aimed at keeping performance consistent over long runs and repeated sharpening cycles.

• TiCo Hi-Density Carbide is made for the cutting application
• Tri-Metal Brazing improves tooth impact resistance
• Silver I.C.E. coating helps reduce buildup and heat

Made for Dedicated Ripping Setups

The spec package points to a blade that belongs in a proper ripping setup, whether that is a heavy-duty shop saw or an industrial machine matched to the blade size and arbor. Full-kerf construction and a 1 inch arbor make this a purpose-built choice, not a compromise blade.

• 12 inch diameter for larger saw platforms that accept this blade size
• 1 inch arbor for compatible saws and ripping equipment
• 3/16" (4.06 mm) kerf and 1/8" (2.8 mm) plate support a stable cut path

Pro Tip

A glue-line rip blade only shows what it can really do when the saw is tuned correctly. If you want that ready-to-glue edge, make sure your fence is parallel and keep a steady feed rate instead of forcing stock through the cut.
