Key Features

Clean Panel Cuts This Freud panel sizing blade uses a flat triple chip grind with 72 teeth to leave a clean finish in sheet goods and composites. That means less edge cleanup and less time fixing chipped panels. Built to Run True Freud's anti-vibration design and advanced plate flatness help reduce movement in the cut. The payoff is smoother operation, better accuracy, and less rework on finished panels. Longer Edge Life TiCo high-density micro-grain carbide and Silver I.C.E. coating are there for a reason: longer cutting life with less heat and drag. If you size panels all day, that matters.

Overview

Freud LSB31001X 310mm Extended Life Panel Sizing Blade for Horizontal Beam Saw is a production-grade circular saw blade built for accurate panel sizing on horizontal beam saws. This is a panel sizing blade designed for cutting wood and wood composite sheet goods with clean, repeatable results. Model Number: LSB31001X.

The important part here is not just the 12-3/16" (310 mm) diameter, 72-tooth layout, or 60mm arbor. It is how those specs work together for panel work where edge quality and consistency matter. The flat triple chip grind is built to handle abrasive sheet materials while helping control chipping, and the positive cutting angle supports efficient cutting through single or multiple panels.

Freud built this blade around its TiCo high-density micro-grain carbide and Silver I.C.E. coating. In plain terms, that means the cutting edge is made to stay sharp longer and the blade body is made to run cooler with less drag. Freud also calls out up to 2X the cutting performance and cutting life compared to standard LSB panel blades, which matters when downtime for blade changes and sharpening eats into production.

Accuracy is a big part of what separates a decent panel saw blade from one worth putting into a beam saw. Freud's anti-vibration design, precision grinding process, and emphasis on plate flatness are all aimed at keeping the blade stable in the cut. That translates into smoother cuts, less movement, and less cleanup after sizing laminated panels, melamine, plywood, MDF, particle board, OSB, and similar materials.

This blade is a strong fit for cabinet shops, commercial millwork operations, panel processors, and any production environment that sizes sheet goods on a horizontal beam saw. If your work depends on straight, clean edges and predictable cut quality across wood composites, this is the kind of blade that earns its keep by reducing rework and stretching time between sharpenings.

Made for Production Panel Sizing

This blade is aimed at one job: sizing panels accurately and efficiently on a horizontal beam saw. For shops processing volume, that means dependable edge quality without slowing the line down.

• Designed for horizontal beam saw applications
• Suitable for sizing single or multiple panels
• Ideal for wood and wood composite sheet goods

Longer Life With Less Rework

Freud loaded this blade with features that matter when the saw runs for hours, not minutes. The carbide, coating, and plate design are all there to keep the blade cutting clean while resisting heat, drag, and vibration.

• TiCo micro-grain carbide supports a sharper edge with slower wear
• Silver I.C.E. coating helps reduce heat and drag
• Anti-vibration design helps deliver smooth, precise cuts

Set Up for Common Sheet Goods

The LSB31001X is intended for the materials most panel shops actually cut every day. That includes laminated products and abrasive composites that can beat up a standard blade fast.

• Works well on laminate, melamine, plywood, MDF, OSB, chipboard, particle board, and fiber board
• 72-tooth configuration supports finish-focused panel cutting
• Precision grinding helps maintain accuracy between sharpenings

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

Freud LSB31001X 310mm Extended Life Panel Sizing Blade for Horizontal Beam Saw is a smart buy for shops that make money on clean edges and repeatable cuts

If your beam saw spends its day chewing through sheet goods, this blade is built for that kind of work, not occasional use.

• Who it's for: Cabinetmakers, panel processors, and commercial woodshops running horizontal beam saws on laminate, melamine, plywood, MDF, and other composites.
• Why it stands out: The combination of TiCo carbide, Silver I.C.E. coating, anti-vibration design, and precision grinding is aimed squarely at longer blade life and better cut quality.
• Worth knowing: This is a purpose-built production blade, so the arbor and pinhole pattern need to match your machine. Check that before you order.
