Cuts Metal Clean The Diablo D0736CF circular saw blade is built for thick metal and stainless steel, using 36 Cermet II teeth and a triple chip grind to make cleaner cuts with less spark and less cleanup than grinding discs. Longer Blade Life Cermet II teeth are made to handle heat and wear better, which means fewer blade changes and up to 25 times longer life versus standard grinding discs. Stable, Straight Cuts Laser-cut stabilizer vents, a thin kerf design, and shock-resistant brazing help reduce vibration, wandering, and deflection so the blade tracks straighter in corded and cordless circular saws.

Overview

The Diablo D0736CF 7-1/4 in. 36-Tooth Steel Demon Cermet II Saw Blade is a metal-cutting circular saw blade built for thick metal and stainless steel. This is a circular saw blade designed for cutting metal and stainless steel with a cordless or corded circular saw. Model number D0736CF, it is aimed at contractors, fabricators, and serious DIY users who want faster cuts, less heat, and cleaner results than a grinding disc can usually deliver.

What matters here is not just the 7-1/4 inch diameter and 36-tooth layout. Diablo uses Cermet II teeth, which combine ceramic and metallic materials for better heat tolerance and wear resistance. In real use, that means the blade stays productive longer when you are cutting steel studs, angle iron, flat bar, channel, conduit, pipe, and threaded rod. Diablo claims up to 25 times longer life, 50 times cooler cuts, and 10 times faster cuts versus standard grinding discs, which is exactly the kind of difference that saves time when you are making repeated cuts on the job.

The tooth geometry is built around a triple chip grind, and that matters because metal cutting punishes blades that are not stable. This grind pattern helps reduce sparks while keeping the cut more controlled, which can also reduce the chance of needing hot-work permits in some settings. The design is also meant to produce larger chips instead of fine dust, so you get less airborne mess and a cut that typically needs less rework afterward.

Diablo also put real effort into the body of the blade. Laser-cut stabilizer vents are there to trap vibration and noise, helping the blade stay cooler and track straighter during the cut. The thin kerf design lowers resistance, which is a practical advantage whether you are running a corded saw or trying to stretch runtime from a cordless saw. Add in the tri-metal shock-resistant brazing, and the teeth are better able to handle impact without giving up durability.

Jobsite practicality is a big part of why a blade like this exists. Grinding discs can leave a lot of heat in the workpiece, and they can discolor steel. Diablo positions this blade as a cleaner alternative for a circular saw, with cooler cutting and less spark. The Perma-SHIELD coating helps fight heat buildup, gumming, and corrosion, which is useful if the blade sees varied site conditions or sits in a truck between jobs.

Fitment is straightforward for the right saw setup. This metal cutting blade uses a 5/8 in. diamond arbor, has a listed 0.075 in. kerf, a 0 degree hook angle, and is rated for up to 5,800 RPM. Those are the numbers that tell you this blade is made for controlled metal cutting, not aggressive wood framing work. The diameter and arbor need to match your saw, and once they do, this blade gives you a one-blade solution for both metal and stainless steel cutting.

Who should buy it? If you regularly cut steel studs, EMT, flat stock, or stainless and you want cleaner results from a circular saw, this blade makes sense. It is especially useful for metal framing, mechanical trades, electrical work, and general fabrication where speed and repeatability matter. If you only make the occasional metal cut, it is still a better answer than abusing a general-purpose blade, but the real value shows up fast for users who cut metal often enough to care about blade life and rework time.

Built to Run Cooler in Thick Metal

This blade is made for users who want a circular saw solution for metal cutting without the extra heat and mess that comes with a grinding disc. The payoff is faster production work and cleaner finished cuts.

• Cermet II teeth are built for high heat tolerance and longer wear life
• Triple chip grind helps reduce sparks and keeps cuts more controlled
• Thin kerf design lowers resistance for easier cutting with cordless or corded saws

Key Specifications

Compatibility

Saw Type Designed for use with cordless or corded circular saws that accept a 7-1/4 in. blade. Blade Interface Uses a 5/8 in. diamond arbor, so your saw must match that arbor requirement. Cutting Applications Built for thick metal and stainless steel cutting, including studs, angle iron, flat bar, channel, EMT, pipe, and threaded rod.

Built For

Metal Framing Electrical Mechanical Trades HVAC General Contracting Metalworking Stainless Steel Cutting Conduit and Stud Work

Pro Tip

Pair this blade with a saw that has the right blade guard clearance and a proper metal-cutting setup. The thin kerf and cooler-cutting design work best when you let the blade feed steadily instead of forcing it through the cut.
