Overview

The DEWALT DCB6112 20V/60V MAX FLEXVOLT 12Ah Battery is a high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack built for compatible DEWALT cordless tools. This is a cordless tool battery designed for powering compatible DEWALT 20V MAX and 60V MAX FLEXVOLT tools. Model Number: DCB6112. If you are running demanding saws, grinders, outdoor power equipment, or other high-draw cordless tools, this battery is built to give you more runtime and stronger overall performance from the platform you already own.

The big selling point here is capacity and output. DEWALT rates this pack at 12Ah in 20V MAX mode, and the brand states it delivers 50% more power and a 50% longer lifespan versus the DCB612 battery. In plain terms, that means this battery is aimed at users who are asking more from their cordless setup and do not want to stop as often for battery changes. On long cuts, repeated heavy fastening, or continuous outdoor power equipment work, that kind of reserve matters.

What makes the DCB6112 stand out in the FLEXVOLT line is the dual-voltage design. The pack automatically switches voltage based on the tool you slide it into, so it can power both DEWALT 20V MAX tools and DEWALT 60V MAX FLEXVOLT tools without any manual adjustment. That is the practical benefit of the FLEXVOLT system: one battery format that covers standard cordless tools and more demanding high-output tools on the same job.

DEWALT also calls out tabless battery cell technology and advanced engineering in this pack. The reason that matters is not because it sounds fancy, but because better cell design helps with power delivery, efficiency, and battery life under load. When a battery is feeding larger cordless tools, consistency matters just as much as raw capacity. This pack is built to hold up better when the work gets heavier and the run time gets longer.

For day-to-day jobsite use, the onboard LED state-of-charge indicator is one of those features you appreciate more the longer you own the battery. A quick button press tells you where the pack stands, so you can decide whether it stays in the tool, goes on the charger, or rides as your backup. That helps cut down on surprises, especially when you are moving between tasks or trying to finish a sequence without interruption.

This is sold as one battery only, and no charger is included. That makes the DEWALT DCB6112 20V/60V MAX FLEXVOLT 12Ah Battery a smart fit for users who already own DEWALT chargers and want to add a higher-capacity pack to the system. It is also a logical upgrade for anyone deep into the DEWALT cordless platform who wants one battery that can support both 20V MAX tools and 60V MAX FLEXVOLT tools with longer runtime potential.

Who is it for? Contractors, remodelers, carpenters, landscape crews, and serious DIY users who already run DEWALT cordless tools and want fewer battery swaps on demanding work. If you mostly use compact drills and drivers for quick punch-list tasks, a smaller pack may be easier to carry. But if your priority is runtime, platform flexibility, and feeding bigger cordless tools properly, this battery makes a lot of sense.

More Runtime for Bigger Cordless Work

This battery is built for users who care more about staying productive than keeping the lightest setup possible. The 12Ah capacity gives compatible DEWALT cordless tools a deeper energy reserve for long work cycles and repeated heavy use.

• 12Ah capacity in 20V MAX mode supports extended runtime
• DEWALT states up to 50% more power versus the DCB612 battery
• Useful for heavy-duty construction, woodworking, and outdoor power equipment applications

One Battery for Two DEWALT Platforms

The FLEXVOLT setup is simple on the job: slide the battery into the compatible tool and it automatically switches to the required voltage. That gives you broad platform coverage without juggling separate battery families.

• Compatible with DEWALT 20V MAX tools and 60V MAX FLEXVOLT tools
• Automatically switches voltage based on the connected tool
• Works with DEWALT 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT battery chargers

Built to Keep You Ahead of the Swap

The onboard fuel gauge keeps battery management simple. Instead of guessing, you can check charge before a climb, a long cut, or the next work area and decide whether to keep rolling or throw it on the charger.

• Integrated LED fuel gauge shows remaining battery charge
• Battery only package keeps it straightforward for users who already own DEWALT chargers
• DEWALT states up to 50% longer lifespan versus the DCB612 battery
