Key Features

UL Classified Crimps When paired with the DEWALT DCE310 compact crimper, this die set is built to complete UL Classified crimps with leading manufacturers' connectors. That matters when you need repeatable results and a cleaner inspection path. Fast Size ID Industry-standard color markings and laser-etched labeling make it easier to grab the right #4 copper U-die set without second-guessing. Less sorting means less wasted time on the job. Stamped Verification The die imprints the wire size onto the connector after the crimp cycle is complete. That gives you a simple visual check when you're moving fast and still need traceable, professional-looking work.

Overview

The DEWALT DCE31004CU #4 Copper U-Die Set is a crimping die set made for copper connector work with the DEWALT DCE310 20V MAX Compact Crimper. This is a U-die set designed for crimping #4 AWG copper connectors. Model Number: DCE31004CU. If you already run the DCE310 platform and need the correct die for #4 copper terminations, this is the job-specific accessory that gets you there.

What makes this die set matter is not just fitment, but output. Used with the DCE310 compact crimper, it is built to complete UL Classified crimps with leading manufacturers' connectors, which is the kind of detail electricians and serious installers actually care about. The wire size is imprinted onto the connector after the crimp cycle, so the finished connection is easier to verify during inspection or troubleshooting.

DEWALT also kept the day-to-day handling practical. The laser-etched markings and industry-standard color coding help you identify the die size quickly, especially when multiple dies are in the bag or on the cart. That sounds small until you're switching between connector sizes in the middle of a service call or trim-out and do not want to lose time checking every piece by hand.

As an accessory, this is purpose-built rather than universal. That is a good thing if you want predictable results. A dedicated #4 copper U-die set gives you the correct profile for the intended conductor size and connector application, instead of forcing a close-enough setup that can create rework later. For crimping accessories, exact match is the whole game.

In real use, this product is best for electricians, utility crews, maintenance teams, and contractors doing cable termination work where clean, repeatable crimp results matter. It is not a standalone tool and it is not a general-use hand crimper accessory meant to fit anything on the truck. It is a DEWALT system accessory for users who already own or plan to use the DCE310 compact crimper and need the correct die set for #4 copper applications.

Quick Identification on the Job

This die set is built to be easy to identify and easy to trust when you're changing sizes during electrical crimping work. The markings are there for a reason: faster setup, fewer mistakes, and easier finished-connection verification.

• Laser-etched markings help identify the die quickly
• Industry-standard color coding helps distinguish die size
• Imprints wire size onto the connector after crimp completion
